Chapter 17

  The research you were doing that night was very underestimated to how much you had to actually do. It was around 3 in the morning when you along with Sam decided to turn in for the night. B/f/n and Dean quit researching at about 1 in the morning saying they needed there 'beautyrest'.
"I'll see you in the morning Sam." You said heading up the stairs
Once you got to bed you couldn't sleep for many reasons, but you couldn't think of one. You were about to drift off into dream land when there was a knock at your door. You were about to get up when Sam walked in and closed the door behind him with a confused expression.
"What is it Sam?" You asked sitting back down
"I just wanted to talk, I couldn't sleep and I wanted to see if you were still awake." Sam said
"Yea, come sit." You said moving so he could sit
"I just wanted to ask a few questions." Sam said
"Fire away." You responded
"Why didn't you want me and Dean to help you?" Sam asked clearly curious
"The main reason was, I wanted to find him on my own. To prove a point that I can do stuff like this." You explained
"Why would you want to do that. You love to hunt with us." Sam said confused now
"I know, but it's different." You said not knowing how to phrase it
You and Sam continued to talk for a little more, before you both got really tired.
"I'm going to go to bed *yawn* now, thanks for talking." Sam said
"Stay, just for tonight?" You asked with a sleepy smile
"Ok." Sam said getting in with you
You and Sam fell in a peaceful sleep, the best night's rest you and Sam had in a long time. When it came time to wake up neither you or Sam were up, so B/f/n and Dean came looking for you. Which ended in them both busting out laughing at the sight infront of them.
"Uh? What's going on?" You asked trying to sit up
"Um, your puppy is still asleep." B/f/n joked while laughing
"Get up Sam." you said kicking him in the leg
"Why?" Sam whined which caused both Dean and B/f/n to start laughing again
"Get the hell up." You said kicking his leg again and jumping out of the bed
"Yea Sammy get up and get ready." Dean said teasingly
"Shut up." Sam said getting up and walking out with Dean trailing behind him laughing
"So you and Sam?" B/f//n said with a smirk
"Don't even go there." You said
After everyone was dressed, showered, and feed. You began researching again. You all researched in the afternoon before anyone found something.
"GUYS! I think I have it." You said looking at the ugly human like thing
"What the hell is that." Dean said looking at the picture
"It's a Corps-seeker." You said taking the book back
"And?" Sam said
"It's said to be nearly indestructible. It originated from texas, you can only kill it by fire or a wooden stake covered in holy oil." You said flipping the page
"Are you even sure that was here?" B/f/n asked
"'I'm not sure, but this is the only thing that specifically says can not be killed with any gun." You explained
"Still even if it took Bobby. It doesn't tell us where he is." Dean said
"So? It's a start at least." Sam said
"Think anyone would know anything?" You asked
"You mean go around and question people about Bobby." Dean said
"Yes." You replied
"Couldn't hurt." B/f/n said jumping in
"She's right." Sam said nodding
"Let's do it." Dean said
"Wait now we have to wear suits." B/f/n whined
Once the suits and FBI badges were sorted out everyone set out in groups. You with Sam and B/f/n with Dean.
"So we just ask people about Bobby?" B/f/n asked a little confused
"Yea nothing has happened to anyone else. Maybe someone heard or saw something." Sam said
"Let's go." Dean said walking out
"Come on Sammy." you said walking to your car
"Do you even know where you're going?" Sam asked getting into the car
"Of course I do. I grew up here." You said in a duh tone
"Do you know what you're going to ask?" Sam asked
"No, but I get the gist of it." You said
*B/f/n and Dean*
"Think they'll figure it out?" B/f/n asked Dean
"No, Sam would never admit it to her; then again Y/n would never admit it to him." Dean said
"But, it's so obvious." B/f/n said dramatically
"I know, they just don't know it." Dean replied parking
"Let's go talk to some people." B/f/n said getting out of the car

*You and Sam*
"Ma'am Would you happen to know anything about a Bobby Singer?" You asked politely to the lady at the diner
"I've only seen him a few times. I know he's a drunk that's it sorry." She said walking off to continue working
"That's the 3rd person with the same exact answer. Let's face it no one knows anything." Sam said walking out with you
"That's quitters talk. I don't give a damn we're going to ask everyone on our side of town weather you like it or not." You said walking across the street to the bar.
"Like the bartender would know anything besides the fact Bobby's an old drunk." Sam said sarcastically
"What's wrong with you?" You asked stopping halfway to the counter (the place where you order your drinks, idk I've never been to a bar, I'm not even old enough to drink.)
"I haven't had lunch and they have the best food here." Sam said
"We'll get lunch after this. Behave." You said the last part sternly
"Fine." Sam said dramatically
After you question the bartender you got basically the same answers you've been getting all day. Which were pretty consistent and annoying. So far you got everyone knew Bobby was a drunk, jerk, asshole, jackass, and a bitch; I could go on, but you get the point. After questioning the bartender you and Sam went to a local dinner to get lunch.
*B/f/n and Dean*
B/f/n and Dean were going to ask the librarian a few questions before wrapping up and heading to the dinner to eat. There answers were the same as yours and Sam's. The librarian's answers weren't the same, they revealed the most about what got Bobby. The Librarian said that if he was in here for the past 3 weeks and he was always reading about lour on this creature. That was all she could say about Bobby that was helpful. Once Dean and B/f/n got to the dinner they found it was the same one you and Sam picked to eat at.
"Hey Sammy, Hey Y/n/n." B/f/n greeted and sat down
"Find anything?" Dean asked
"Nothing, did you?" You asked
"We found out Bobby was searching lour about a Zog." Dean explained
"What's a Zog?" You and Sam asked
"I think is some sort of ancient warrior come back to life." Dean said
"That's all?" You asked expecting more
"That's all until we read this and research it." B/f/n said
"Well let's get going." Sam said standing up
"Hang on agent Lynn!" A person said running to catch you
"Mr. Malcolm, what is it that you need?" You said walking to him
Mr. Malcolm was a hardware shop owner on you and Sam's side of town.
"I wasn't completely honest with you. I talked to Bobby before he left to Springfield, Illinois." Mr. Malcolm said
"Thanks, Mr. Malcolm but we have to be going." You said getting into your car
You were on the long road again to oddly enough save your dad. You didn't speak to b/f/n as you road. You were lost in your thoughts. Thoughts of the past when you were little and you were playing with Bobby, your first hunt, first fake id, first driving, and first rescue missions all with Bobby. If you lost him you would get more memories with him. If he dies who's going to be there when no one else is? Who's going to be the safe haven, the protector, the hero if he's gone. If he's gone you're going to be lost.
"Y/N!!" b/f/n shouted for the tenth time not that you noticed
"Uh, what!?" You said confused looking to her/him then the road again
"We need to find a hotel to stay the night in. The boys called said a few more miles than hotel searching." B/f/n explained
"Okay?" You said a little confused
"That was 10 minutes ago, we need to find a hotel now." B/f/n said
"Okay, hey look there's one." You said spotting one
"That's lucky." B/f/n stated
You pulled into the hotel parking lot and got 2 adjoining rooms one for you and B/f/n and one for Sam and Dean. You each went into your own hotel rooms and got settled in before everyone started talking supernatural. Everyone was in yours and B/f/n's room either sharing the things they found or reading more about it. The boys and B/f/n turned in before you. You decided so you wouldn't wake b/f/n up to continue reading outside for a while. You managed to block out the sounds of an arguing couple as they were kicked out, you also managed to block out Sam opening the door outside.
"Y/n?" Sam said confused as why you were outside
"Uh? Oh, hey Sam." You said coming back to the real world
"Hey Y/n, what are you doing out here?" Sam asked
"Reading." You said looking up at him
"It's 3 in the morning, Y/n go to bed we got a full day's drive ahead of us." Sam said sitting beside you
"I know Sam... Sam what happens if he's not there?" You asked him looking up at the sky
"I don't know, but we will find him one way or another." Sam replied standing up and helping you up
"Night Sam." You said going to your room
"Night Y/n." He said going to his room also
