D Chord The D chord is the first chord I learned and is 1st finger on the G string 2nd fret, 3rd finger on the B string 3rd fret, and 2nd finger on the E string 2nd fret.
you don't play the top 2 strings (E,A) and you play the bottom 4 (D,G,B,E)
This chord is probably one of the easiest chords and is fairly simple to learn as a beginner. Once you get the hang of it you should practice switching from chord to chord with it.
