Are you ever playing and a string has a buzzing or muted sound? There are some reason this could be happening. One of them being your guitar is simply out of tune.

Another reason could be you're not pressing hard enough. I know what you're thinking with your red line indented finger tips 'I'm pressing as hard as I can' Most likely you're not. A tip with this is to make sure you are as close to the fret as you can, it's easier to press there.
Your guitar is in tune and you're pressing as hard as you can and that annoying buzz sound is still ringing. Check to see if all your fingers are on the right strings and only there strings. If one of your fingers are touching a neighboring string it could produce the buzz or muted sound you're hearing.
