Erchomai, I am coming. The words echoed around Clary’s head as she tried to hide her emotions from her friends and family. The Library had a few unrecognisable faces and they were all staring at her.
“What do you think it means?” somebody had asked but she didn’t answer, she couldn’t answer. She had thought at least for a few days he would leave them alone hiding in the shadows but obviously she was wrong. Clary stumbled backwards and let the paper fall to the ground, staring at it, she wanted to burn the paper maybe he would burn too, maybe she could forget him forget that he… she stopped her train of thought as a dark shadow engulfed the paper in darkness she looked up at the figure a few feet away and recognised the black pit eyes and shinning white hair instantly, Sebastian. She backed up against the furthest wall in the library, her eyes consumed with fear.
“Come on clary don’t look like that, aren’t you excited your brothers here to pick you up” Sebastian teased as he walked dreadfully slow towards a cowering Clary.
“No, please, no. Sebastian don’t, you can’t not again please, I know you don’t want to somewhere in your demonic heart you don’t want to” clary whispered as he put his hands on either side of her head.
She closed her eyes as Sebastian leaned in, she could feel his breath on her neck tickling her skin. “Why Clary it looked like you were having so much fun”
She struggled away from him and tried to reach the candle stick on the table but it was too far away. Clary started screaming for help. She saw Jace move towards her and thought yes, here he comes my savour he’ll kill Sebastian and then we will be safe, but he just stared at her incredulously mouthing words to her she couldn’t understand. All she could hear was Sebastian’s taunting words hovering around her ears, the press of his body caging her in, and the scent of his demon Ichor running through his veins, the endless black pits that made up his eyes…
“Come on then little sister, let’s go home” and with that Sebastian swung up his right arm and hit her temple hard. Clary felt a burning pain then collapsed to the ground as a herd of blurry feet ran towards her.
“She’s fine Jace, stop crowding over her” Clary heard someone say. “No she’s not fine did you see her back there it was like Sebastian had..” clary then realised where the end of the sentence was going and she didn’t want the thought to be in his head, so she fluttered her eyelids open sat up and hugged Jace as tight as she could. Relief flooded through Jace as Clary’s arms wrapped around him in a tight embrace.
Clary heard Jace take in a shaky breath “I was so worried about you, are you okay”. She wanted to say she was okay but she knew it would be a lie, so she just stayed silent and focused on the warm scent of Jace. He smelt like sunshine, if sunshine had a smell, clean like soap and coppery like… blood. Blood.
Clary leaned back to examine Jace and noticed a great pool of dried blood on his t-shirt. He must have seen the panicked look in her eyes as he answered “It’s not mine don’t worry, it’s you we need worry about, what happened back there we saw stumble backwards towards the wall then you started talking and screaming and I-“ He stopped. No words in the world could ever describe the pain he felt in that moment, she was helpless, He was helpless. He couldn’t help her when she needed it most.
Clary gave a sigh and concentrated on suppressing her hyperventilated breathing. She tried to think up of a good enough lie but only one came to her mind, “He just- he just scares me”. Clary knew that Jace didn’t believe her but he didn’t press on the subject. Clary couldn’t tell him. She couldn’t tell anyone what had happened to her. And maybe, just maybe they wouldn’t ask her about it. She hoped and prayed that that would happen, but deep down she knew that they would find out eventually either from her or Sebastian.
Images of them together on the night of the ceremony flashed through her mind and she shook her head trying to shake them away but it just brought more on. She and Sebastian, the feel of his body against hers the repulsive actions she tried to make to move away, but nothing worked against his stone hard body. The dirty things he whispered in her ear about the future… kids they will have. It seemed like bees were bussing around her head but it was just empty past words from Sebastian’s cold lips. She let go of Jace and clamped her hands over her ears
“Stop it!” she screamed as she lay down in the hospital bed.
“Stop, that’s not going to happen, it’ll never happen, I’ll never be with you”
“I’ll never have your kids” she screamed in her mind.
The bussing rose higher and higher in volume her body curling over in a fatal position will this ever stop she thought even after he dies if he dies it won’t stop. This feeling of being vulnerable and broken will never go away…
And with that thought looked in her mind the bussing slowed as it all became to much for poor Little Clary.
Short I know but I wanted the first chapter up straight away! Sorry next on will be longer promise! :)
