Leaving blank spaces

I saw the blue flare shot up in the sky.

The mission was over, leaving me dumbfound. Unfortunately, they didn't capture the Female Titan.

Many people died in this mission. I went up to my horse, and stroked its mane. I thought and thought to myself.

I wonder when I'm going to die, or how am I going to die.

My thoughts were interrupted by Ymir, coming in with a stern face as usual.

"Hey, Renzo. Can I talk to you?" She asked. I never thought Ymir would ever talk to me, so I nodded and listen on what she had to say.

"About Christa. I-I need you to protect her when I'm gone." When she was gone? What was she blabbing about.

"Okay, but what do you mean when you're g-"

"Look. You don't know anything who were going against. Just do it, okay?" She said in a soft tone.

"Yeah, yeah. Whateve-" I was interrupted by a hug coming from her. I didn't know when to hug her back or not, so I just stood there awkwardly.

"You don't know how much that means to me." She murmured against her breath, and walked away.

We were all heading back to the walls. The only thing in mind now was getting home, and see Annie.

Once we went inside the walls, the whole crowd of people stood there silent.

I stood up, and walked though the angry mob, making me feel like I shouldn't be called a soldier.

We let something that could've lead a jump to humanity's victory. I looked at my friends.

Had the exact expression as me.

Ashamed.

After dealing with those people, I decided to go to Wall Sina, and find Annie. Suddenly, I felt a strong arm stopping me.

I look back.

It's Commander Erwin.

"Renzo Wolfram?" I nodded.

"I need you to come with me." Was I in trouble? I couldn't help, but kept thinking about.

We went to HQ. Finding Armin, Mikasa, and Jean.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked. They had sad faces. What's going on?

"I-It's about Annie." Jean said. My eyes widened. I stood there paralyzed.

"Oh no! What wrong? Is she hurt? Did something happened-"

Commander Erwin interrupted me, and said,"She killed someone." I let out a gasp.

No. She couldn't have kill anyone. She's not that type of person.

"I'm sorry, Renzo. We thought we need you to know that." Armin said.

I started to get goosebumps.

"You're lying! She would never do that!" I yelled, as tears threatened to come out.

"I'm sorry, Renzo. We believe she's the Female Titan." Mikasa bluntly said.

"Shut up!" I yelled, making all of them star at me with widened faces.

"You're just angry,because of what she did back at the academy." I told her, as I sway my tears away.

"I don't know if it's true." Erwin said.

"But, if you want to find out whether she is or not, then we need you to join our plan."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Since Eren is suppose to be sent to Wall Sina, we need you to persuade Annie to help him hide."

I looked down to the floor, before answering.

"Okay. I'll do it."

I'll prove them that Annie is innocent.
