Legendary lovers

Renzo's POV:

We both sat there, watching the sun lit up.

I held into Annie's hand tightly.

I started to fall in love with Annie the same way I met her.

Though it seemed right yet so wrong.

I has to take Annie back, go back to the kingdom before Christa wakes up and wonder where am I, but before I do that...

I had to tell Annie.

"Annie?" I quietly said, reaching out for her.

"Yes, Renzo?" She said with such a rare smile.

It broke my heart so much.

"I-I got to take you back, tomorrow is your trial."

"That's okay. I'll see you there, then you can meet me the next d-"

"No!" I yelled.

Memories of me killing Ymir.

Annie saying that I will get in a fight with Christa for... secretly meeting Annie.

And I will kill Christa in the end...

I rolled my hand into a fist.

"I-I"

"Renzo, what's wrong?" Her eyes quite widened.

I'm so sorry, Annie...

"I proposed to Christa!" I exclaimed.

She looked at me with a horrifying face, making my heart break even more.

"She's my...fiance. I can't betray her."

She stood there.

"So? what does that mean?"

"It means..this is the last time I might see you."

My ears slowly came back to her eyes.

"No." She shook her head.

"I thought you loved me?" she whispered.

"I do love you, but it's just not the same as last time. I mean, when I remember those memories, I felt that love. But I notice that I'm making a mistake, because it's Christa that I truly love."

She looked down to the floor.

"I have to do the hard way.." She muttered, but I clearly didn't hear it.

I shook that off my shoulder, and stood up.

I gave her my hand

"Let's go."

She began to sob, and that when my heart shattered.

She grabbed my hand and got on her feet.

I took her back to her cage, as she began to sob quietly.

I slowly opened the door, and quietly tip toed up the stairs to the hall where it lead to my room.

Once I climbed the stairs I heard a voice.

"Where were you?" I looked up and tried to act calm as I can.

It was Christa.

"I was out."

"Where?" She pursed.

I let out a sigh and hesitated to tell her.

"I went to go see Annie."

Tomorrow's chapter will be longer

You'll get to see christa's reaction, the trial, and something shocking.

The book is almost ending :( so sad.
