I ran to Annie as fast as I can. She stood there on the field, waiting for the others to arrive.
"Annie!" I embraced her from behind.
"You don't have to do this!" I yelled, hugging her tighter.
"Do you have a reason to stop me?" Annie bluntly asked.
I let out a gulp.
My choice is right here, right now.
"I'll go."
"What?" her eyes widened at my answer.
"I'll leave with you. How's that? We can start a new life together!" I said with a assuring smile.
"Really?"
"Of course, Annie! I love you so much. I don't want you to go outside the walls without me!"
Tears streamed from her eyes.
"Wait, are you s-seriou-" I pressed my lips against hers, and rested my forehead against hers.
"Yeah. I'm serious."
