A sad trial ☻

Renzo's POV:

"Why did you go check up with her?" Christa asked another question.

I looked down to the floor, but slowly looked at her again.

I made a frown and formed my puppy eyes.

"I-I remembered Annie again." I said, trying to sound full with relief and sadness.

Christa's eyes widened.

"That's great! You finally remembered! For a second, me and the others thought that memory was long gone."

I walked towards her.

"I just had to see her, Christa."

"And that was the right choice."

I slowly kissed her in the lips, feeling guilty for the lie I told her.

After that, we went out to Wall Sina.

It felt like just a normal day again, well, other than the citizens surrounding us.

We also announced our wedding.

Christa wants to really start it around this week, but i'm scared to become a husband.

We're only 19 and things are going to fast.

Man, is this really how this fancy society works?

"What's wrong, Renzo?" Christa asked, taking my thoughts away.

We were finally at peace near a river, watching the boats go by..

"Oh nothing.."

"Are you sure?" She asked.

I looked up to her with a smile.

"It's nothing, sweetie.." I said, putting my hand over hers.

She blushed and looked away.

"I-I've been thinking.."

"About what? The marriage?"

"No, the marriage is going to work out fine." I gulped nervously when I heard that.

"But, about having kids?" She said in a question answer voice.

"K-kids?" I said, blushing as well.

"Yeah, I know we're not ready, but.."

"You want to plan our future?" I said with a smirk.

"Yeah."

I pulled her close, and wrapped my arms around her.

"Well... maybe after we breach Wall Maria, we can have the scouting legion take care of the rest of the humanity mission."

"B-but we're still soldiers, too."

I smiled to her.

"That's why we quit. we can start a life together, you know?"

"I want that, but you said you wanted to help humanity's victory?" and that's when I chuckle.

"I did. I became king, I persuade the government to allow us to go to the basement. I-I pretty much helped them, and I'm making the citizens happy. they're looking up to me, not as their ruler, but like a hero."

Christa snuggled deeper into me.

"Changed subject, how many kids do you want?"

I gasped and started to blush.

"M-maybe just one." I said pointing a finger for number 1.

She looked at me with a cheeky grin.
