Chapter Nineteen: Alone

Calum's POV

We walked out into the club and she looked super excited like she'd never been inside of a club before. 

"Calum, let's get drinks!"

"Um okay." 

She drags me over to the bar and orders a beer for each of us.

"Why are you so excited?"

She tries to avoid eye contact.

"Rebecca?"

"Umm... well... you know how Alyssa and I look pretty similar?"

"Yeah..."

She reaches into her pocket and takes out her ID. I take it from her and read it. It's Alyssa's.

"What the fuck?"

She smiles awkwardly and looks at the ground.

"I look older than I am and Alyssa's a year older than me, so she did me a little favor because in the US you have to be 21 so I got excited. Except I was screwed because I'm still 17 and my birthday is coming up soon but I wanted to have a fun night out!"

"Then let's have a fun night out!"

Rebecca's POV

Thank the good Lord above that he was okay with this. I realized that he never knew that I was younger than 18 and I'm glad he doesn't care. This is the one night I have to do this for a while so I'm going to make the most of it. I drink one bottle of beer and realize that I can't really handle my alcohol anymore. I never really could. I would just drink to forget and it wouldn't take much. I grab Calum's hand and pull him out to the dance floor. We dance for what seemed like hours until I get a phone call. I look at my phone and see Alyssa's face. I run to the bathroom.

"What's wrong?"

"Luke... luke..." she stammers.

"What about him? I thought you weren't going to forgive him for the rumor that he paid prostitutes to sleep with him."

"It's not a rumor. He never denied it."

"Whatever. Just wait there, I'll come over."

I look up from the spot on the ground where I was staring and see Calum.

"What happened?"

"Luke did something and we have to go."

"Damn it, I'll drive." he says, taking the keys from my hand. We walk out to the car and I get into the passenger's seat. He pulls out of the parking lot and we head to the other club.

We finally get there after a seemingly quiet drive. As I step out of the car, Calum walks over and closes the door for me. He grabs my hand and starts to walk towards the entrance. I'm kind of confused by this because he usually doesn't show any displays of affection while in public. It's usually just at home. But I like it when he holds my hand outside.

We get to the front door and the security guard looks very intimidating.

"Hey Brett. We're here to pick up Luke."

The guard, apparently named Brett, lets us inside with no trouble. We make our way to the bathroom where Alyssa usually hides when she's in public and doesn't want to be seen. I walk inside, letting go of Calum's hand.
