his presence.
"I'm surrounded by your presence, engulfed between your hands. Teased by your scent, I walk within your paradise continuously surrounded by the feeling of happiness." -unknown.

In Calum's presence, I can't help but feel his love and happiness. He gives off this aroma of pleasure as if he were a ray of sunshine coming from the sun itself.
I don't know how or why he immediately puts me in a great mood, but whenever I'm with him my mood lightens up like a spark igniting a fire.
When he's away, however, there's a hole in my heart. When he leaves, it's like he takes a part of me with him, and I'm left feeling an unfamiliar feeling of emptiness.
The thought of him leaving me has always given me the chills, and it's definitely not the good kind.
He has, unfortunately, left me before, and throughout that time I have never felt so much sorrow and loneliness in my entire existence.
I'm not even 100% sure why he came back to me, but lord oh lord am I so damn grateful because I know for a fact that I wouldn't be where I am today. I'd be an alcoholic drug addict who wastes his whole life away.
I'm so fucking grateful for Calum.

"You're such a fucking asshole," Calum scoffed and pushed his half-eaten plate away from his placemat.
"How am I an asshole? All I said was that I didn't like the dinner tonight," Luke explained being rather frustrated. Luke doesn't know what's been going on with Calum lately, but for the past couple weeks he's been acting strange.
"You don't see it, do you?" Calum asked with a not-so-shocked expression on his face. Luke furrowed his eyebrows and waited for Calum to explain what was happening for what felt like forever. Luke's phone dinged before Calum could get a noise out, and Luke didn't hesitate to pull out his phone and read the text message that he received. "You have got to be kidding me. That, Luke! That right there is what I'm trying to get you to see!"
Luke looked up from his screen and furrowed his eyebrows again. This only pissed Calum off more, so he stood up and stormed off into their shared bedroom.
Luke sighed loudly and tossed his phone on the table before rushing after Calum.
"Where are you going?" Luke asked while sounding annoyed. Calum didn't answer and opened the door to the bedroom. He grabbed a suitcase from under their bed and tossed it onto the covers. "Woah, Calum. What the hell are you doing?"
Calum didn't answer. Instead, he snatched up some of his clothes from their dresser and closet and shoved them into the black bag. Tears were rushing down his cheeks, and he couldn't help but let out a choked sob as he zipped up his suitcase.
"Calum? Baby? W-What are you doing?" Luke asked worriedly. His hands started to shake and his bottom lip started to tremble.
"I'm leaving, Luke."
"W-Why? What did I do wrong? Please tell me; I can fix it," Luke pleaded. Calum shook his head and attempted to wipe away his own tears, but it was no use since new ones took their place.
"I just can't do this anymore. Please don't make this harder than it already is."
"Tell me what I'm doing wrong! P-Please!" Luke sobbed and fell down to his knees before he wrapped his lanky arms around Calum's legs tightly.
"Luke, please," Calum whispered. "Let go."
Luke shook his head vigorously and only held on tighter. Calum's bottom lip trembled, and he let out another choked sob.
"You can't leave me, baby. I'm nothing without y-you. Please stay. Please just stay," Luke begged like a little child. Calum took in a shaky breath and closed his eyes. Tears pooled out of both pairs of eyes violently, but neither of them tried to stop them.
Calum opened his eyes moments later and ran his fingers through Luke's hair gently. He let his hands fall to cup Luke's cheeks and wiped away his salty tears.
"What did I do?" Luke whispered and placed his own hands on Calum's.
"You just-" Calum sighed and shook his head. "You've been so distant lately. You're cancelling every single one of our plans to hang out with the guys. You're ignoring my texts and calls. And when you are with me, all you do is text that Abby chick, and it hurts, Luke!"
"Ba-"
"You're so busy doing all of these things, a-and you didn't even realize that tonight is our two year anniversary."
Luke's blue eyes widened in realization, and he quickly stood up. "Calum, I-"
"Don't bother, Luke. I need to leave," Calum stated before he grabbed his suitcase and walked downstairs. Luke chased after him and gripped his wrist. Luke pulled Calum into his chest and placed a sweet, passionate kiss on the tan boy's lips.
"I'm so so sorry, Calum. I can change. Please don't leave me," Luke pleaded again. Calum sighed and kissed Luke one last time. This kiss, however, was different than all of their other ones. This was their goodbye kiss.
"I love you, Luke. I always have, and I always will. If we're meant to be together, then fate will bring us back together eventually," Calum mumbled before giving Luke a kiss on his cheek. He turned around and walked to the door.
"Goodbye, Lukey," Calum whispered before closing the door behind him. Immediately when the door clicked, an emptiness washed over the blonde and he collapsed to the floor with a sob.
"Goodbye, baby," Luke cried.
