Scribbles

"Ne, ne, Killua. What are doing?" An amber-eyed child questioned, head peaking over the others shoulder, eyes rounded with curiosity.

"Well, I don't really know how to answer that." The ex-assassin replied. "I guess you could say that I am...doodling?"

Gon blinked owlishly,"heh, looks more like pointless scribbles." Snickering quietly.

Killua stared at his friend with a hand on his chest, mocking hurt. "How dare you arrogantly state that my masterpieces are mere scribbles! You ought to be ashamed of yourself!"

"Hmph! I'm pretty sure that I can draw better than you, Zoldyck-san. pffffft." Gon sputtered, struggling to keep a straight serious face.

The other smirked,"Is that a challenge, Gon Freecs-san?"

Gon burst into giggles,"Nah, if this was a contest, I would definitely have a one hundred and one! percent chance of winning."

"You're on! Freecs!"

"As if you have a chance!"

Both boys raced to get a sheet of paper and pencil. As soon as the pencil touched the paper, furious scratching could be heard. It was as if they knew exactly what they were going to draw. (I bet you can guess what they drew.)

Gon finished first and tried to look over Killua's shoulder, but sat back with a frustrated whine when it was obvious he couldn't look. He leaned back and waited for Killua to finish. Obviously the silvernette was nowhere close to done since he was still drawing pretty fiercely. Gon smiled a mischievous smile, grabbed a marker, and drew the most crooked line on Killua's face.

Killua swiftly jerked away with a what. the. fudge. did you do look on his incredulous face. Gon fell over and started to laugh hysterically, quickly filling the whole room with his bright, contagious giddiness. Killua scowled harshly and grabbed a marker for himself, making his way (downtown) toward his friend.

As Gon was starting to calm down, he accidentally met eyes with Killua, and his bouts of laughter increased again. The boy with blue eyes deepened his scowl as he brandished his marker, inching closer and closer to the unsuspecting extrovert. Hand on Gon's shoulder, Killua turned his friend so that he was on his back, and started to scribble all over the boy's cheeks and forehead.

Gon yelped and flopped around like a fish out of water, but Killua had an extremely tight grip. He didn't stop until Gon's face was covered in blue marks.

"What! Killua! I only drew a single line!" The spiky-haired teen protested, scrubbing his face roughly.

"Eh, so what. I just felt like it." He shrugged,"Plus the marker is erasable, so it's fine."

"I guess you're right..." Gon pouted.

"Of course I'm right, idiot."

"So...are you done with your drawing yet?" Gon couldn't contain his excitement.

"Uhhhh, I think?"

"Great!" He shouted, scrambling over to the two pieces of paper.

"Hey! That doesn't mean you can see it, s-stupid idiot!" Killua yelled, tripping over random things to reach Gon.

He was too late as the nature-loving boy snatched the paper from the table. Gon stared at it while Killua stared at him, waiting anxiously for a reaction. Gon's eyes sparkled, his lips opened to reveal his pearly whites.

"Killua! This is amazing!" He said in awe, running to embrace his friend in a not so gentle way. Both boys fell down in a tangle of limbs, one squawking loudly and the other smiling heartily.

"We should definitely hang this." Gon said stubbornly.

"Yeah yeah, as if anyone can change your idiot mind." Killua flushed slightly.

The boy with gravity-defying hair broke out into another gleeful grin, and ran to get a picture frame.

"You're an idiot. But your my idiot." The silvernette smiled lovingly.
