*non-canonical version about how Gon tries to learn how to skateboard*

"Hey, Killua! Killlluuua!" A boy piped, face shining with excitement.

"Yeah, what is it Gon?" Murmured his friend, sitting on the couch and reading a book.

"Teach me how to ride a skateboard!" Gon pleaded, shoving Killua's special yellow board with wheels in his face.

The albino squinted at the older male, slowly putting his book down, "Why?"

Gon huffed, "Cuz I want to be cool like Killua!"

Said male sputtered in a very uncool way, his cheeks dusted with pink, contrasting against his pale skin. "Shut up, i-idiot! Stop being so sappy!" He hissed, flicking his friend's forehead in response.

Gon whined softly, imaginary ears and tail drooping in obvious disappointment. Killua froze immediately, lips spread out in a straight, exasperated line. The look was so pitiful even the seemingly heartless Zoldyck felt the slightest hint of guilt.

"F-fine..." he grumbled reluctantly, crossing his arms.

"Yaaaaay!"

Gon glomped his best friend, mashing both their cheeks together. Dry, warm skin collided suddenly with soft, smooth ones, exchanging body temperature. Killua flushed even harder, the pink blossoming into a rich scarlet.

"Alright! Alright! I get it! Now get off!"

The energetic boy stuck his tongue playfully in retaliation, holding the skateboard in front of Killua.

Sighing hopelessly, the albino smiled softly in affection as he placed the moving board on the ground. He gestured Gon to get on, who did so eagerly.

"Your footing is wrong, place your right foot further upwards. Bend your legs slightly."

After a few more adjustments, Killua nodded, scanning his friends posture. "Try leaning left and right or bouncing, get used to the feel."

Gon enthusiastically started to move in a jerking manner, falling into Killua's suspecting arms. "Slow down, you maniac." He said as he let out a breath of laughter.

The extrovert pouted childishly as he regained his balance, retaining his earlier position. Gently, Gon sloped side-to-side, memorizing the way the skateboard tilts.

"I think I got it!"

"Okay, you want to try pushing off now?"

"Yes!" he grinned, skipping over to put on his boots.

Killua chuckled and slid into his shoes, skateboard tucked under his arm as he opened the door. Gon followed after him, excitedly jumping up-and-down. The ex-assassin placed the board on the carpet, "Go ahead."

Gon's eyes sparkled as he placed his feet on the skateboard, he leaned forward lightly, and let gravity do its work. Gradually the wheels rolled forwards at a moderate pace, moving slowly on the slightly sloped ground. He hopped off and picked up the skateboard, returning to Killua.

"How do you steer?" Gon asked, board in hand.

"Just lean back and forth or left to right. You can increase your speed by kicking off gently with your hind foot, just don't go too fast. I'll wait over there." Killua stated, pointing his thumb at a tree about 50 feet away. "Meet me there."

The boy nodded enthusiastically, placing his right foot on the skateboard and using his left for an extra boost. The ride was a bit smoother and faster, Gon tilted to the left, gradually, the skateboard faced that way. He leaned right, towards where Killua stood, and it followed.

Just as his eyes met his best friend's form, Gon unconsciously kicked the ground again, trying to reach Killua as soon as possible. Unfortunately, this caused the skateboard to go too fast, which resulted in Gon losing his balance. His eyes met with Killua's for a split second, who had suddenly disappeared.

Just as his head was about to hit the ground, a hand grabbed his wrist and his body ricocheted forward, now facing towards his best friend. Gon's caramel brown eyes stared into Killua's deep blue ones, and of course Killua was the one blushing embarrassingly.

"I s-said take it easy, stupid." He chided. "Don't just blindly go hurting yourself."

Gon just grinned at all the affection he was recieving and gently bumped his nose with the younger male. "Boop!"

"Y-you're gross." The ex-assassin grumbled, blowing air in Gon's face.

Said male just laughed, "You're too uptight!"

With that said, Gon fell backwards, pulling poor Killua with him. They landed messily in the small yard they had, with the albino glaring playfully at his giggling friend.

"Laugh a little!" Gon ordered, reaching over to scratch Killua's ears.

"Wait, no! Sto-ahahaha!"

Killua's fake glare was immediately replaced with a shy grin accompanied with soft laughter. He scrunched up his shoulders, hands in a tight fist as a melody sounded from his throat. Eyes shut tightly, nose wrinkling cutely from the gentle grazes. He giggled openly, half-heartedly trying to cover up the music flowing from his mouth.

"Much better!" Gon chirped, flinging his arms around Killua's shoulders.

"Yeahaha..." the albino sighed contentedly, "Now it's time for payback!"

The extrovert's eyes snapped open, meeting with Killua's mischievous smirk, "You wouldn't da-eee!?"

Killua stuck out his tongue mockingly as he jabbed all ten fingers into Gon's sides. The unsuspecting victim choked out a laugh as slender fingers brushed tenderly across his skin. A tiny squeak was elicited as a digit prodded his stomach.

Gon dug his head into the crook of Killua's neck, muffling involuntary laughter while his hands grasped the back of Killua's shirt. Adorable freckles popped out as his smile grew wider, giggles generously pouring out of his mouth.

Killua slowed his brushes, fingernails lightly stroking the soft skin of his friend. Not hard enough to make him laugh, but gentle enough for the tingles to grow and disperse rhythmically.

Gon shivered pleasantly, nuzzling deeper into Killua's chest. He memorized the soothing beats of his friend's heart and synced his own breathing to his. The slow, strong thumps filled his ears as his eyelashes fluttered shut. The beats were barely audible as he wandered between consciousness and unconsciousness. Soon Gon was sound asleep, posture radiating a relaxing aura.

Killua could also feel his eyelids drooping, he pressed a kiss into his friend's forehead and nestled deeply into the soft fibers of Gon's hair. His mind filled with images of his best friend, and he too, drifted off to sleep.
