Rosemary's Words

(Sukimi's POV)

I felt powerless, seeing the one person with hope give herself up. I felt my hand grow into a fist, seeing her with the three guys casually talking, I felt lost. I saw Ciel and Lu come back, I walked up to them to see them a little disheartened, "What's wrong?" Ciel lifted his eyes up and looked at me, "I don't think we'll find Rosemary anywhere.. Even Eve couldn't give us information on her location. So, she's lost for the time being." My heart dropped, "Why would she leave all of a sudden?!" Lu shook her head, as did Ciel. My heart got heavy, and all I could do was stand there, hopeless. Ruki got up, and walked towards me, "Hey.. I have a few questions for you, will you meet with me after the next meeting?" She smiled at me like everything was great. I nodded and she walked back to her group.

We all sat down. Ciel sat next to me and held my hand, "It's going to be okay," he whispered in my ear to make everything fine. Elsword looked at everyone and took a deep breath, "Well we have a plan. Now how are we going to enforce it?" Everyone looked out of ideas, no one could think of anything and I, too, was a victim to that terrible feeling. "Nothing? Guys, we don't have much time." I looked at Ruki, and I could see sadness in her eyes, like she was ready to just scream every possible feeling she could, but she held it all in. I guess she saw me staring, and smiled instead. "Well.. think about what ways to get close to Add right? We need to know where he's at!" The sudden outburst surprised everyone, and I put on a goofy smile, "I'm sorry, was that dumb?" Ciel shook his head, "Not at all! That's a start anyway!" He smiled at me and I felt giddy.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Ruki looking down at something with the most saddest expression I've seen. "Ruki, are you okay?" She jumped up from the call of her name, and smiled, "Of course!" But, I knew she was lying. 

As the meeting ended, everyone went home except for me, Lu, Ciel, Ruki and the three ghoul brothers. I grabbed my coat, "You guys go on! I'm gonna stay a bit longer." Lu and Ciel nodded and walked out together. Ruki said the same to the boys and they waved back at her while cutely playing around, she giggled at them. I walked up to her, "Well?" Her smile faded and she turned toward me. She pushed her lips together, and pushed the hair away from her eye. She gave me a pin, I knew I recognized, "This is Rosemary's pin! Where did you find it?!" She sighed, "I am Rosemary." Her voice sounded dark, deep, and knowingly Rosemary's. I froze, why would she pretend to be somebody? "Then.. Why are you "Ruki"?! What's going on?!" I stepped closer and held the pin tighter in my hand. Her eyes saddened, suddenly everything felt distant, even the person standing in front of me. Suddenly, I knew the reason. Her emotions flowed into me, and I was hit with depression. Surges of different emotions flowed through me, making me slightly uncomfortable in my own skin. This was her doing.

"You understand, don't you?" My hand was on my chest in a fist, my heart burned, yearned, cursed, and broke. Her voice went back to that gentle person that was willing to do anything to protect anyone, "So, that's why I will no longer be with ya'll anymore. But.. I'll always love ya'll." My knees gave out and I fell to the ground on my knees. I could hear her shuffling something, and start walking away. Her footsteps echoed in my mind, and my heart completely froze with betrayal and sadness. I was mad, but her emotions were still in me. It was the very reason, I felt so depressed in such a sudden moment. Her footsteps stopped for one second, and every feeling in my body disappeared. I heard her voice again..

"I'm sorry.."
