"Jayce!" I exclaim playfully. "Jayce! Put me down!"
I squirm in Jayce's arms as he lifts me over his shoulders and runs onto the sandy shore. I breathe in quickly, the smell of the salty sea air tickling my nose and making me giggle. After minutes of giggling and squirming, Jayce finally lets me down. I fall to my feet, not quite catching myself, and I accidentally fall on my back, bringing Jayce with me. Jayce and I begin to laugh, and I press my hands against Jayce's bare chest in attempt to help keep his body weight from crushing me.
"Get off!" I giggle. "You're going to kill me!"
"Oh please," Jayce smirks playfully. "I'm not that heavy."
As I lay beneath Jayce, I feel him become heavier and I know he's deliberately letting more of his weight onto me. "Jesus, you're so fat!"
"Am not," He defends.
Instead of continuing our silly argument, I shake my head as best I can and smile at Jayce. Soon it becomes silent and all I hear is the ocean gently swaying back and forth. I stare into Jayce's eyes, as he does to me, and I can't help but smile. I hold his gaze, all the while feeling my heart beating faster and faster by the second. I glance towards my hands that are pressed on Jayce's chest and I can feel the heat rising between us.
He slowly leans forward, gently pressing his lips to mine. My body relaxes at the feel of Jayce hovering over me, a feeling of protection washing over my body. I bring my hand up and gently touch the side of his face, his lips kissing mine.I feel Jayce pull away, a grunt slightly escaping his lips. He breathes out slowly, his breath slightly jagged.
"Your kiss," He whispers. "Literally takes my breath away."
I smile at his words, letting them sink in and suddenly feeling something wash over me. It feels so strong and it feels so good, beckoning me to kiss him again and yearning for more. I want to say something, I want to let him know how I'm feeling but I don't know how to word it. Instead of confessing my feelings for him, I quickly decide to kiss him and let him feel it too.
"Mia," Jayce whispers, pulling away slowly. "I think I'm falling in love with you."
I don't say anything, I just look at him and smile. That's what I was feeling, I'm falling in love with him too.
"Me too," I gently peck him on the lips. "I'm falling in love with you too."
Jayce smiles, a feeling of relief written on his face. He quickly kiss my lips and trails downwards, lightly brushing his lips against my jaw and then pressing them to the side of my neck. He pauses, hovering above me as his soft hands caress my waist. My body quivers under his touch and the feel of his warm breath trailing down my neck.
"I want you, Mia," He says in a low key. "I want all of you."
To be honest, I want the same thing and I know that I don't have to say anything for Jayce to know what I'm thinking.
"Come with me," He says, standing up and bringing me with him.
"Where?" I ask, grasping his hand in mine.
"Come home with me," He says. "We can't do this here. I want to be with you at home."
"Won't your mother be there?" I ask.
"No," He says. "It'll be just the two of us."
***
I awake to a familiar feeling, to a familiar face. I look down at the covers wrapped around our bodies, Jayce's arm around my waist protectively. I shift to my side, resting my right hand over Jayce's. I close my eyes and begin to think about Jayce.
