I awoke to a darkened area, not quite knowing where I am or what has happened. I feel something cushion-like beneath me, almost like foam. I groggily sit up and find that whatever is underneath me is actually a piece of foam. Well, that was considerate, I think sarcastically. I don't have much strength to get up, and as I start to feel around me, I find that I am sore. It feels like I have just awoken from a deep slumber.

I cough lightly, wondering where Jayce and Megan have gone off to. Finally, I find that strength to rise to my feet. I begin to take small steps, holding my hands out in front of me, as if I was blind. By now I can tell that I am in a room, and it is hard for me to see, my eyes desperately searching for the smallest glimmer of light. I hear the scrape of my shoes against the floor, and I instantly know that it is wooden.

My heart rate starts to pick up. This can't be good. My hands settle on a wall that feels wooden also. I trace the the perimeter of the room until my I find a door. I smile and let out a breath. Maybe I was worried for nothing, I think. I twist the doorknob and pull on it. The door doesn't budge.

"What the heck?" I say to myself. "What's going on?"

I continuously try to pull the door open, but to no avail. The sound of the jiggling knob fills the room and makes an echo. I bang on the door once in frustration.

"Dammit!" I yell. I don't understand.

I slide to the floor and start to heave a bit. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I need to get out of here somehow. Before I have any time to devise a plan out of here that didn't involve trying to kick through the door, I hear a jingle of keys outside pf the door. A small part of me becomes hopeful, but my body freezes up. My mind races and I find myself in a fit of panic. Someone is going to come in here.

I scramble over in the direction I had originally found myself. The click of the door unlocking pierces the air and I breathe in sharply. The door swings open, and the light flicks on. The first thing I see is a pair of black boots. I stare at this person's feet, too afraid to look up. The boots make a loud thudding noise as it hits the ground.

"Good, you're awake." The man says in a deep voice. He crouches in front of me and I hesitantly meet his eyes. Those eyes, I think. They're so familiar.

"I was wondering when you'd wake up." He says. He brings his hand to my face and nudges my head to the side with his index finger. I don't resist.

"I'd say sorry for scuffing up your face back there, and ruining what could have been a potentially good evening," He begins. "But then I'd be lying. Truth is, I'd have to take you sooner or later, and what better opportunity than tonight?"

He laughs a deep laugh that sounds almost like a rumble. "You made this too easy, girl."

I look at him with my mouth gaping open, stuck between staying silent because I was scared, and asking him what he wanted. My decision is made for me as I see him get up to leave. He stops in the doorway and turns around.

"Make yourself comfortable," He smirks, and then swings the door shut as he exits the room.

As the room grows silent, I can hear my heart beat in my ears and feel my pulse racing. I glance around the room, finally taking a moment to observe my surroundings. The room is bare, nothing in it except me, the foam I'm sitting on, and the light bulb that hung from the ceiling.

Windows, I think. Are there any windows? I look at the walls to my left and right, they were bare. I begin to deduce that I'm stuck, not very hopeful that there will just so happen to be a window behind me. I start to turn around, and out of the corner of my eye I see what looks like the frame of a window. My mouth starts to crack into a small, victorious smile. Yes, I think.
