Chapter 21: Reunited

"That's...Momochi-sensei?" Hanako was surprised by his appearance.

Zabuza looked at her from the corner of his eyes. "I see you have finally settled down and became a qualified ninja...Hanako." Zabuza said.

Hanako nod her head and smiled. "Yes. And these are my teammates. Naru-kun,  Sasuke-kun and Sakura-chan. And my sensei, Erotake-san." Hanako introduced them happily.

Zabuza was amused by the name she gave Kakashi. Then, he looked at Kakashi's way. "Hatake Kakashi. The famous copycat ninja." Zabuza said.

"Oh, my, my. If it isn't Momochi Zabuza. The exiled ninja of the hidden village of the Mist." Kakashi said.

Hanako looked at them in confusion. "You guys know each other?" Hanako asked.

"Let's stop this chit-chat. I need you to hand over the geezer." Zabuza said.

"Everyone, form the manji formation." ordered Kakashi. "Protect Tazuna-san. Don't join the battle. To not interfere with the battle is teamwork." Kakashi pulled up his head band and revealed his Sharingan.

Z narrowed his eyes at Kakashi in suspicion. "Hanako, do you think he---Hanako?" Z turned his head towards Hanako, only to see her with fear in her eyes.

"H-His eye...His eye is similar to that guy...I-Is he one of t-them...?" Hanako shook in fear.

"I'm honored that I can see the Sharingan that I've heard about." Zabuza said.

Hanako backed away from Kakashi. "Y-You..." Hanako stuttered in fear.

Kakashi looked at her way and widen his eyes. "Hanako, are you okay?" Kakashi asked, as he walked towards Hanako.

"Don't come near me! Y-You...You're one of them...Isn't it?...You killed my family..." Tears rolled down her face as she cried.

Everyone was surprised by her words. "What do you mean, Hanako?" Kakashi asked.

"Y-You..." Before she could continue on, she fainted.

Z gasped as Hanako fainted. "Hanako! Oi Hanako! Wake up!" Z patted her face with his paws.

Kakashi rushed towards her and shook her. "Hanako. Hanako. Wake up, Hanako. What's wrong? Wake up." Kakashi tried waking her up but didn't succeed.

"She won't be able to look at you the same way, Kakashi. After all, she thinks you murdered her family along with them." Zabuza said.

Kakashi looked down at her in worry. "Hanako..." Kakashi whispered softly.

Z glared at Kakashi in anger.

"Well, I have to kill that geezer." Just as Zabuza said that, mists started forming making it hard to see.

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura quickly formed the manji formation around Tazuna while holding kunais.

Kakashi carried Hanako and let her rest beneath a tree. "I need to talk to you after this." Kakashi said and head back towards Zabuza. Then, the fight started.

Sasuke looked towards Hanako but was surprised when he saw no one. "Hanako..." Sasuke uttered in a low tone.

Naruto heard him and so he looked at Hanako's way and saw no one. "She's gone! Kakashi-sensei! Hanako is gone!" Naruto yelled in panic.

Kakashi whipped his head towards the place where he left Hanako and saw that she wasn't there. "Where--" Before he could finish his sentence, Zabuza kicked him, causing Kakashi to fall on the ground.

'Hanako, where did you disappear?'

Hanako stirred as she starts to wake up.

"I see you're awake, Hana-chan." A soft voice said.

Hanako widened her eyes as she recognized the voice. She quickly whipped her head towards the source of the voice and a huge smile formed on her face.

"Haku-kun!" Hanako immediately hugged the person.

Haku chuckled and hugged back. "Its nice to see you again, Hana-chan." Haku said with a smile.

They pulled away and Hanako looked around the room curiously. "Not much have changed here." Hanako said.

"Well, we decided to leave it the way you left it." Haku said.

Hanako smiled at him. "How have you been doing?" Hanako asked.

Haku stood up and gave her a smile. "I've been doing good. And I see you've been doing good yourself. I'm glad you found a suitable place and met these good people." Haku said.

Hanako widened her eyes as she remembered her teammates. She quickly stood up. "I forgot about them! Kya! I must go back!" Hanako was about to rush out but Haku stopped her as he held her arm.

Hanako looked back in confusion. "What's wrong?" Hanako asked as Haku kept a firm hold of her arm.

"Why don't you stay for awhile?" Haku asked.

Hanako turned towards him and gave him a smile. "Okay. I'll stay." Hanako said.

Haku smiled at her and pulled her closer. Hanako blinked her eyes. "Haku?" She called out in confusion.

Haku enveloped her in a hug and let out a soft sigh. "I really missed you, you know..." Haku whispered softly.

Hanako smiled and hugged him back. "I missed you too, Haku-kun." Hanako said.

"You guys are being too mushy mushy." A small squeaky voice spoke in an irritated tone.

Hanako giggled and pulled away from the hug. Haku look at her in confusion. "Why are you laughing?" Haku asked.

Hanako picked up Z and placed him on her shoulder. "He was getting irritated by our mushiness." Hanako said with a giggle.

Haku chuckled and pat Z's head. "Sorry, Z." Haku apologized to the tiny fellow.

Z nod his head. "Apology accepted." Z said with a grin.

Haku smiled at him. "I guess he forgived me, as he nodded his head." Haku said.

"Well, let's do something fun while we're still together." Hanako suggested.

Haku nod his head in agreement. Then, the three of them had fun together. Playing, talking and just spending time together.
