Liam

I held Rae in my arms as my father carried Amber to the car in his. Rae had begun to cry hysterically and I had to calm her. We had decided that the house was not safe enough for Amber and we had to leave.

I tossed the bags of clothes in the back making sure not to drop any thing.

Right when I was about to get in the car, Rae began to cry again.

"Bunny bear! I left her in the play room! We can't leave her!" I sighed sitting her down on my lap.

"We can't get bunny bear, Bunny bear needs to stay and protect the house ok? Now wipe those tears ok? You are daddy's princess, and princesses don't cry." She wiped her droopy eyes and layer down on my chest.

I looked over to my father who was staring in awe.

"What?" I asked confused.4w

"You're a father....." He whispered as he drove away from the house.

"Liam...." I heared a faint familiar voice in the back seat.

"Liam...why did you do this to me?"My heart broke. I snuck a look at her and saw a large claw mark over her eyes.

"No! you were fine!" As if on cue blood spilled out of the wound and green eyes turned a based gray color.

"It's hurts....w-why do m-my eyes hurt? L-liam...I can't see...I can't see liam."Her voice shook with every word.

"No it was an accident! I didn't mean to! please!" I felt a tug on my arm and found Rae staring at me confused. I turned back to Amber to see she was perfectly still asleep, no claw marks, not even a scratch.

"He is trying to get into your head." I turned towards my father who was staring straight ahead.

"It was so real..." I reached back just to touch her face to my surprise her eyes slowly flicked open to meet mine.

"Hello beautiful." I whispered.

"Hey, where are we going?" She breathed every single word as she sat up. Rae hopped onto her lap.

"Somewhere safe-"

"Actually liam, I had a feeling you would get infected with what ever bug Stephen has placed on you and if I'm correct Rae is next...And unless one of you thinks other wise,we want to keep her safe right? I took it upon my self to hire some one to take Rae out of town for a few days, until we find Stephen, if you are not with her he won't find her." I turned to face Amber who was now in tears holding Rae to her chest.

"Dad You can't just-"

"No. Liam it's ok. Rae needs to be safe, I need her to be safe. I can not live if he even comes close to touching Rae. Liam it has to be done. Thank you dad." I stared at her in confusion. She was right but I have a feeling we won't be seeing Rae again.

"If Rae leaves....when Rae leaves...will we. ..." I mumbled shrouded by pain and tears.

"Liam it's what is best....I can assure you the family I'm leaving her with is a kind well off family with a little girl of the age of 5. She will be ok." I needed him to say it. My father had a gift for knowing how things would end.

"What did you tell them happened to her parents?"

"Liam stop." Amber cried. My father stopped the car to face me, tears threatened to fall from his eyes.

"Son...-"

"What did you tell them?!" Hot tears fell from my eyes.

"I told them her parents died." He didn't dare look into my eyes. Amber sobbed silently in the back.

"We will never see Rae again.." I whispered letting my self take in all I had heard.

"Son..-"

"Drive! we have to hurry, so we can give our only daughter to foster parents." I hissed. He started the car and drove not saying a single word.

I turned around to see Amber cradling Rae as she slept.

I turned around to see the last image of my family....alive.
