Prologue:
My name is Miranda Brooks and this is the story of my summer on Rose Street.

Chapter 1 :
Miranda's POV
It was the last week of school (finally !) when my mom flatly said that we would be moving for business purposes. Before I could ask any questions mom stormed out of the room. Me and my mom hadn't gotten along really well ever since my dad had walked out on us.
On the last day of school I woke up and looked around my room knowing this would be the last time I would wake up in it because right after school we would go to the airport to our new home. I put on a crop top with some high waisted short and my favorite maroon colored converse. I grabbed my purse and headed out. I didn't even bother to say good bye to my mom, I knew she would either ignore me or just plainly not care.
When I got to school I made sure to say my goodbyes because I would probably never see these people again in my whole entire life time. The whole day seemed to fly by. When I got home everything was packed and we headed out to our new home.
