i finished making my bed and looked around my room, placing my hands on my hips and nodding with satisfaction.

i just moved from san francisco, california to mooresville, north carolina.

i wasn't too mad about it, though. i was glad to finally have a fresh start somewhere. i knew i'd miss my friends, jessie and alyson, but i could always visit them.

i went to my closet and took out my black hoodie and pulled it over my t-shirt. i knew it'd be colder here, and i was determined to find something to do here to make life interesting. i brushed through my hair, which i had previously straightened. i took a final look in the mirror, examining myself. i was wearing dark skinny jeans, white converse, and of course the black hoodie i just put on. i grabbed $10 from my money jar and headed out of the door and down the street. i had no clue where i was going, so i just searched for a main road.

eventually, i ended up at a starbucks. i laughed to myself. typical me, always able to locate a starbucks . i ordered a white chocolate mocha frappuccino, which has always been my favorite. i paid, walking over to a table nearby and waiting for my name to be called. after a few minutes, my name was called out.

i walked over and thanked the barista as i took the drink and headed out of the door, unlocking my phone to text jessie.

i brought my straw to my lips and as i turned the corner, i crashed right into somebody, causing my drink –and phone – to go flying.

"shit, i'm sorry!" a boy shouted apologetically, reaching down for my phone.

"i'll buy you a new coffee, i'm sorry." he told me. as i reached for my phone also and looked up at the boy, innoticed his eyes were a super bright blue. like, very blue. a mesmerizing blue.

"i- thanks." i finally managed to say, feeling myself blush as i put my phone into my back pocket. to my advantage, it hadn't cracked. however, i did just have $4.95 down the drain with my coffee spill.

"you look familiar." i told him. he started to walk towards the starbucks with a slight laugh.

"i'm nash grier, are you new around here?"

"yeah , actually." i answered as he opened the door to the same starbucks i had just left moments ago.

"really? where are you from?" he asked, walking into the line and looking up at the menu.

"san francisco." i responded.

"wow, city girl." he laughed. he ordered his drink and i proceeded to reorder mine before continuing the conversation.

"yep." i said, popping the p. "you still haven't told me why you look so familiar though."

"yes, i did. i said that i'm nash grier." he said, walking over to the counter that you get your drinks from and taking a straw.

"yeah, and i'm arianna holland. you sure are great at introductions."

he looked down and i noticed he was laughing at me. and now i'm confused.

"do you have a vine?" he questioned. i nodded slowly.

"can i see your phone for a second?" he asked, and i shrugged and unlocked it, going to the vine app. he pressed the camera in the corner, making a vine.

"we out here being stereotypical," he began, and waited until they called my name and i had my drink in my hands.

"YAYYYY STARBS" he shrieked in a high pitched voice, the camera on me drinking my coffee. i laughed at him and he posted the vine. people had started to stare at him from his obnoxious shout.
