Amrah's POV

Oh my gosh, I had no idea where I was. I screamed internally, I didn't want to be late for my interview! I looked around for anyone to give me directions, but it seemed to be deserted. Turning around, I spotted a person with a backpack, on his phone. I breathed a sigh of relief and approached him,

"Umm, excuse me. I'm a bit lost. Could you possible help me?" He looked up from his phone and smiled at me.

"Sure, where do you want to go? I know this college like the back of hand."

"I don't think anyone knows the back of their hand, but if you say so." He laughed,

"Well, I'm sorry. Do you want to remain lost? I could just leave you here"

"I would just follow you around until you give in to me." He laughed again,

"I give in already, where do you want to go?"

"I would like to go to the interview room."

"Oh, you're here for an interview. What course?"

"I am applying for a Masters in Finance, but you know I doubt I'll get in. I was shocked I even got an interview." I replied honestly.

"Sounds fancy. Don't worry. The fact that you think that you're not going to get in is a good thing. All the conceited and stuck-up individuals get found at interview, so as long as you don't act like a arrogant snob, then you're cool," he reassured me. He led me to the interview room, on the way explaining how he found his course and his interview procedures. He wished me good luck and left me feeling quite happy about myself.

Eventually, I got called in for interview. It didn't go as well as I had wanted, but I guess it could have been worse. I just hoped no one remembered it was my interview today so I didn't have to deal with anyone. I unlocked my house door and walked in.

"How was your interview?" Uthman asked. So much for hoping nobody remembered.

Later on, Rania and Amy came around. It had taken me a few weeks for me to convince my mum to let them come, as per usual. They were lying on my bed; Rania was complaining about having no money and Amy was complaining about her life choices. I was trying to listen to both of them, but it was quite difficult.

"Why don't you get a job?" I suggested.

"Ugh, no then I'd have to work. I would rather delay getting a job until absolutely necessary. Right now, I want to enjoy my uni life." Rania complained.

"That is how people tend to get money..." I said.

"No, I have a plan." She smirked and her eyes lit up. Amy and I knew what she was going to say.

"You can't marry someone rich." Amy said to her. Rania stuck her tongue out at her as I looked away. From the corner of my eye, I saw Rania mouth something to Amy.

"What?" I asked them. Amy was fidgeting and Rania averted her gaze.

"Guys, what's wrong?" Both of them seemed very reluctant to speak.

"It's just that, are you ever going to tell us what happened between you and Uthman?" Amy asked. I was so confused. Where did this come from?

"What? That was years ago!"

"Yeah, exactly. And you never told us about it."

"What bought this on exactly?" I looked between the two of them. I narrowed my eyes. They were hiding something from me.

"Well, you remember how I was telling you about that English Literature society that I joined...well he is kind of in it and...we got talking." Amy paused but I didn't say anything so she continued.
