Normani: We're all getting ready in Camila and Lauren's room
Ally: Does anyone have red lipstick I can borrow?
Dinah: Lauren I'm bringing you a dress to wear
Lauren: Camila where are you? Dinah please don't
Normani: Mila! Get your ass back to your room
Camila: I already told you all I wasn't coming
Dinah: Bitch, you're coming
Dinah: Too late, I'm bringing options
Normani: Oh hell no Mila, you're coming
Ally: It's the homecoming dance Camila, we said we would go as a group
Lauren: I have red lipstick Ally
Camila: Bitch isn't the most endearing term Dinah
Ally: Thanks, be there in a minute
Lauren: Camila, get here now or I'm cutting all the strings on your guitar
Camila: You wouldn't
Lauren: Do you really want to take the chance?
Lauren set her phone back down on her desk and unlocked the door, opening it just in time to see Dinah, Normani, and Ally standing in the doorway. Groaning when she looked down at Dinah's arms to see a sea of dresses and heels she was just barely managing to balance.
"Hey, how excited are you guys for tonight?" Ally said beaming. "I walked by the Bette Davis Hall this morning and saw the student activities counsel setting up and can I just say, we are not in public school anymore, this place is classy."
"I'm just glad I have an excuse to dress up for once, I mean don't get a girl wrong, love me some shorts and tees, but there is something about getting all dolled up that does something to my insides," Normani declared as she stood in front of my mirror holding up two dresses. "Which one?" She asked, directing her question to Dinah.
"The white one," Dinah pointed to the short white dress with the tulle skirt. "Rhinestones are very you. I heard there's going to be a roller rink in the dance, a roller rink, can you believe it. That's actually crazy!"
"I love rollerskating," Lauren responded and she mulled over the choices Dinah had brought with her.
"Oh that one is mine, you ain't picking my dress, sorry Lauser," Dinah informed her friend reaching out to snatch the long blush dress.
"Fluffy skirts aren't really my thing anyway," Lauren said teasingly ruffling the skirt of the dress as the girl walked by her. "Although this, this I can do," Lauren held up a long white dress with cutout sides and a high slit, examining the piece of clothing.
"My guitar better be in one piece Lauren Michelle Jauregui or you're going to wake up tomorrow completely bald!" Camila yelled, bounding through the door tripping over her own feet and landing in a mess of books that had knocked out of her hands as she flew towards the ground.
The other girls burst out laughing, Dinah weakly attempting to help the small Latina to her feet.
"It's fine Camz," Lauren spoke between laughs. "But since you're here..." Lauren held out a dress for Camila who just looked at it shaking her head. "It was in your closet and it has a tag that says homecoming on it, so you have to wear it."
"My Mom bought it for me," Camila admitted walking past Lauren and straight into the bathroom, ignoring the dress as she shut the door behind her.
"Al, what are you wearing?" Normani asked turning her attention to the smallest of the group. Ally held up her dress and the girls ooh'ed and aww'ed over it, telling her how perfect it was for her. "Camila, get out here, you're missing all the fun," Normani shouted, picking up a hairbrush and throwing it at the bathroom door.
