All of us have busy and stressful days. All of us have days that send us an ever-flowing steam of work, whether it be for school, a job, etc. We are required to use a lot of time to complete these tasks and often feel too busy to designate any time to be with Jesus. We must take a break from our tasks and spend some quiet time with Jesus.
Every day, take a break from your work and accept Jesus's gift of peace. These breaks are necessary for a peaceful relationship with Jesus. Taking breaks while being in His presence will expose you to an incredible feeling of peace. Although you may not want to take a break from working, remember that Jesus has a plan for you. If you ask, He will take care of your work and give you peace.
"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."
(Jeremiah 31:25)
As long as you keep your mind on Jesus, you will be enveloped in His peaceful presence. Taking breaks like this daily will allow you to communicate with Jesus without any distractions. During these moments of peace, you can talk to Jesus about what troubles you and what you are thankful for. Use this time to praise Jesus for helping you get through this day and admire His glory.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
(1 Peter 5:7)
"The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
(Numbers 6:26)
Jesus does not want you to live each day stressed, without any time to relax in His presence. Jesus wants you to take these breaks so He can talk to you without any distractions. Don't attempt to rush these moments of peace. Enjoy them and take them frequently. Eventually, you will be able to relax with Jesus anytime and anywhere. Just turn off your phone, shut your TV off, turn off the lights if necessary, and be at peace with Jesus.
