Last chapter I discussed what Churchianity does. To refresh, Churchianity misleads people due to the covering up of harsh information in the Bible and makes people believe that certain church practices are the only way to follow Jesus.
However, the most dangerous part about Churchianity is the false followers it creates. We know that everything made by man will fail. People who follow these church teachings, rather than learning the true Message of Jesus are led down the flawed and ruinous path of man, rather than the true, fulfilling path of Jesus.
The product of Churchianity is over-tolerant followers, who are too focused on Jesus's love for everyone that they forget about his punishment for sins. These followers often believe that believing is enough for salvation, without sharing the message about repenting sins. This is due to the covering up of offensive and threatening Bible verses and messages by the teachings of Churchianity.
Jesus did not want us to think we were saved just because we believed in Him. Even the Devil believes that Jesus is real. Jesus did not want us to tolerate our sins without asking Him
to help overcome them. He wanted us to repent and overcome our sins and help people do the same. Churchianity has created an environment where people cannot overcome their sins successfully due to the fact that people are tolerant of them. New followers of Jesus struggle to find help among their fellow Christians since they are untruthfully told that their sins are okay. But unless we ask Jesus to guide us in repentance, we will not be accepted into His Kingdom.
"I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."
(Luke 13:3)
For example, Jesus has given me the incredible opportunity to teach a homosexual friend about their sin and how to repent and overcome it. The striking issue was that they believed in God, but didn't believe His clear commandments about homosexuality. They ignored the statements found in Leviticus, Romans, and Corinthians about how homosexuality is a sin. They believed in the message that Jesus loved everyone, so it was okay to be homosexual. Instead of looking at Jesus as a fair and just savior, they looked at Jesus as a tolerant, inoffensive being who was okay with people sinning since He loved them so much.
What shocked me was that one of their bisexual friends told me that the pastors at my church were okay with her orientation, regardless of the fact that it was against the teachings of God. She felt comfortable with her sin, since the pastors didn't teach against it and were willing to accept it. I learned that this tolerance for sin didn't originate from followers, but from religious figures who didn't teach the full truth of Jesus's Word. This tolerance came from the incomplete teachings of Churchianity and created followers unwilling to repent their sins.
Although we must be accepting of those who sin, if we don't put our best efforts into helping someone repent and overcome their sin, we have failed to do what Jesus wants of us. If Jesus was tolerant of the sins of people, He would not be fair or righteous anymore. Not a grain or speck of sin can go unpunished in His eyes. When true followers of Jesus are created, those who help others overcome their sins in the name of Jesus, people are truly saved. When we save people on Earth through the true teachings of Jesus, we save them from judgement in death.
That is why we cannot be taught by churches to tolerate the sins of others without helping them repent. Jesus didn't passively ignore the sins of others. Jesus clearly directed His disciples to "teach others to obey everything I have commanded you..."* Jesus wanted His followers to go to others, teaching them how to live by His commands. When churches teach messages of tolerance without repentance, they teach against Jesus for the sake of being non-offensive and keeping people attracted to attending that church.

So how do Churchianity and those who practice it affect the Great Commission? Simply by not doing it. Many churches don't want to teach how to fulfill the Great Commission. Teaching the Great Commission and how to fulfill it would require people to make sacrifices in their life. People would have to get uncomfortable to do the work of Jesus, just as Jesus was put in uncomfortable situations due to His work. People would be ridiculed and looked down on by not only strangers, but friends and family for performing the tasks Jesus requires of us. Jesus told us that the world would hate them since they would become true followers.
"All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."
(Matthew 10:22)
The false followers of Jesus, who are unwilling to act upon their faith are actually dangerous to the true faith of Jesus. They falsely represent what Jesus wanted of us and soon fall under His judgement. Jesus has made it clear that we cannot be true followers if we do not take up our crosses daily, and by failing to take action every day, we lead ourselves down the a comfortable and easy path. This path, however, will not lead us to Jesus at the end of our lives. We must force ourselves to walk down the narrow, tough path in order to find Jesus at the end of our lives.
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
(Matthew 7:13-14)
But many churches are reluctant to show us the narrow and rough path of being a true follower of Jesus. Churches must sacrifice their comfort and tranquil environment if they wish to share the true meaning of being a follower of Jesus. However, by doing so, people are turned away from the church. It's easy to preach the John 3:16 message of simply believing in the works of Jesus to become a follower rather than the rough Luke 9:23 message of taking action to become a follower. By teaching the easy messages and ignoring the tough messages, churches attract more members and grow in popularity, giving up the truth of Jesus for man-made power. These churches do more harm than good, misleading many people who want to follow Jesus down the easy and wide path.
But the churches that spread the hard truth of being a follower of Jesus truly make a difference in Jesus's eyes. Churches that emphasize putting faith into action make a lasting impact on the world and create true followers of Jesus. Morally good people that call themselves Christians aren't created by these churches. Instead, spirited and loyal followers of Jesus are created, who would give up everything they have for Jesus. Churches like these truly save people and keep them from the harsh judgement of Jesus. In addition, the true followers created by these churches change the world by helping those in need and creating new followers.
Compare the followers created by churches who follow Churchianity and churches who follow Jesus. You can see that Jesus would prefer the followers that sacrifice everything for His cause, giving to the poor and working hard to share the true message of Jesus. Even though that journey is difficult, Jesus is with those followers every step of the journey. Jesus wants us to fulfill the Great Commission. There is no excuse to not take action in the name of Jesus.
So who are you? Are you a follower of Jesus who believes church customs are the only way to follow Jesus, who tolerates the sins of people rather than helping those people repent and overcome them, and who does not take action for the sake of Jesus? Or are you a follower that gives up everything for the cause of Jesus, who shares the true message of Jesus with everyone they meet, while being outcasted by friends and family. There is no third option in following Jesus.
If you feel like the first follower, I recommend you find a church that teaches how to become the second follower. I am happy to go further into how to truly follow Jesus and will further explain the ways to fulfill the Great Commission in the next part. Just comment or message me if you are confused by this part or simply want to talk about Jesus. Thank you for reading this long chapter, and I hope you read the next chapter to learn more about the Great Commission.
If you learned a lot from both of these parts, please share and teach them. By doing so, you are doing the work Jesus wants you to. You don't have to refer them to this book and I don't care about votes. Just share the message you learned from this part. Thanks!
