Echo's pov

I watched the two new warriors eyes gleam in pride, i noticed that Antleap looked a lot like Jaystar, while Oakfrost looked completely different. Berrypaw and Crowpaw looked at the two new warriors with gleaming eyes and admiration. "wow, they became warriors!" Crowpaw meowed, her eyes gleaming as Oakfrost walk by her. "Lucky! I want to become a warrior" Snakepaw meowed. "What's the difference? its not like anything really happens besides your name changing" i meowed, ears folded back. The older apprentices gasped at me as if i said something horrible. "You have much to learn young kit" Berrypaw meowed, his tail patting my head like a queen to her kit. I duck away from his tail and glare at him, he smiled innocently and starts talking to his sister, my ears pricked as i turned to face the nursery. Two apprentices about Snakepaw's age were talking, one is a dark orange tom with brown spots, the other is a light brown she-cat with green eyes, they were talking to a gray-ish she-cat with black leopard like spots and black muzzle, her dark blue eyes looked at me and over to Slaightstar, she walked over and the two began to talk as if they were old friends. A brown tabby looked at me with leafy green eyes, his gaze burned into my fur, causing me to shift under it. He is carrying leaves in his mouth, he dropped them on a rock and used his paws to sort them, his claws were big, but smaller and less sharp then the warriors is claws. He began to use his teeth to tear whatever he was using, when his name was called. "Hey! Mudwhisker! Ivyfall's kits are falling ill again" A brown and white tom meowed, his fur matched Oakfrost's fur, but this warrior looked old and inexperienced. "Thank you Nutpebble, i'll check them in a second" Mudwhisker meowed, he went into his den and grabbed a leaf with herbs in it and padded into the nursery. "Does Ivyfall know about Mosspetal?" i heard a warrior meow. "I don't think so, but she has Daisykit, Puddlekit, Rockkit, and Firekit to keep her safe" another warrior meowed as they watched Nutpebble bad outside the den, waiting to hear about his kits. "I'm going on a hunting patrol" Crowpaw meowed as she ran off to follow a small patrol. "This poor clan" i meowed as Tigerleap sat beside me. "Well they need to learn what they need to do to survive" he meowed coldly. "Slaightstar would beg to differ" i meowed, glaring at him. Heartless mouse brain! I sighed and ran over to Shrewblaze who was talking to Fawnpatch, she flicked my head with her tail again, i let out an annoyed hiss and ducked away, glaring. "Do you always treat your apprentice like that?" Fawnpatch asked, Shewblaze seemed to panic for a second before saying calmly. "She's a new apprentice so i have to make sure she understands her boundaries, i'm just doing what i was taught to do" Fawnpatch nodded, her sympathy disappearing. "Young or not, that's a cruel way to treat an apprentice" we turn to see Acornsky, his green eyes blazing with anger. "She's not some young, reckless kit anymore, she's a young apprentice who will take what you teach her and teach it to others" Shrewblaze shrugged to say she didn't get the point. "Mouse-brain, what if you had kits and she treated them like you treat her. You wouldn't like that would you?" she scoffed and walked off. "Thank you" i meowed, head bowed in thankfulness. "Don't mention it, if i wasn't mentoring Snakepaw, i'd probably mentor you in stead" with that he began to talk to Fawnpatch and a walked away. I watched them before looked up to see Slaightstar and Arrowstar saying bye, i ran over, saying by to Berrypaw who watched us leave. Snakepaw blabbed about anything he could think of, and for once i let him, as a young kit i'd listen to his stories, when i was two moons he was five and would tell me stories about his mother and father. Then when he became an apprentice, he told me stories about the forest and i always listened, being curious. Now when i become four moons and he become six (that was one moon ago) i stopped listening when he tried to tell me stories, So i let him talk as we entered camp to settle for the evening.
