Replacement (HanjixLevi)

It all happened so quick.

Levi was holding Hanji's hand, Hanji squeezing it so hard his knuckles turned white as their baby was born into the world. His daughter. His little life that they had created.
But their happiness was cut short when the Doctor holding the baby ran out.
"L-Levi! What's he doing?!" Hanji gasped. She tried to sit up but Levi gently pushed her back down. A sinking feeling was in his stomach. The way the nurses were looking at him wasn't good.
The Doctor who ran out with the baby walked back in.

"I'm so sorry, but you've had a miscarriage."

[present time]

Levi and Hanji were driving back from their date, Hanji with a plastered on smile. Levi with a real one. Hanji had decided to tell Levi tomorrow, that she was going to leave him because he didn't respect their child. She had had enough and she was going to do it.

Levi thought about how happy he had felt spending time with Hanji. Ever since they lost Avaya he had a dark pit in his heart. Hanji who denied that their child was dead decided to get a custom made doll to represent their child, only now this doll to Hanji was actually Avaya, she also hated Levi for falling into depression, but he couldn't help it. His wife had become delusional enough to forget about his existence. It was getting so bad that now Levi swore he was the insane one, having horrid nightmares about that day all over again.

If he ever told anyone this, they would say he was overreacting. He had looked for help, for somebody to bring Hanji back to him, but it would never work. Hanji needed mental help, expensive mental help which Levi didn't have the money for. Deep down he knew that Hanji could leave him at any moment. The thought terrified him to the core. Hanji had been stolen away form him and he could never get her back.

When they parked in the driveway Levi froze. Armin Arlert was holding that thing.. the doll of their unborn child. What was he doing?! Levi jumped out of the car. "No no no Arlert hide it!" He shouted as Hanji got out of the car with wide eyes. "Armin she'll get cold! Put her back inside!" Hanji began to rush over.

The next few moments went very slowly.

Armin stepped back two steps
Hanji ran faster, not sure what was happening
and Levi knew one thing; he was never going to get his wife back.. ever again.

(This is so short but I've been off here a long long time and lost all motivation to this story.. I had a lovely plot twist in mind but I'm going to be working on more updated things now! I wrote this a couple months back so yeah, that's why it's lousy!)
