*rose's pov*

I hear a knock at my door and my stomach is tied in knots. I open my front door to reveal my boyfriend, Brendon. He may be my boyfriend but im not his girlfriend or wife, I'm jut his affair. He's engaged to a woman named Sarah, she's quite lovely to be honest. Our relationship has been going on for about two months and I've found myself falling in love with him.

"So, what did you want to talk about?" Brendon asks.

      I invited him over to talk to him about how I feel and he told me he needed to talk to me about something too.

"I know you said are relationship had to be feelingless, but I just can't do that. I know how you wanted it but I just want you to know that I love you. It's fine if you don't feel the same way because-"

"Rose," Brendon starts.

"I wasn't finished."

"I broke up with Sarah. Everything with her is over," he says.

"What?" I pause for a moment and try to let it set in. "Did she find out?"

He shakes his head. "I did it because I-I love you too."

      We both smile before Brendon engulfs me in a hug, the smell of his cologne filling my nose. I look up at him and gaze into his soft brown eyes. He leans down and presses his lips to mine, slowly moving them somewhat in sync to each other. Once our lips pull apart, we just stand there and Brendon still holds me in his tight embrace.
