I sang along to my fiancée, Brendon, singing "End Of All Things" on stage. The next song the band played was my favorite song, "Vegas Lights".
"Oh, if you only knew what we've been up to, I guarantee you'd keep it secret. So give it to me now, we're lost in a dream now. Do it (5-4-3-2) one more time" Brendon sang
"In the Vegas lights, where villains spend the we-" Brendon dead stopped in the middle of the line and his microphone dropped to the ground. He was completely frozen.
"Shit!" I whisper-screamed, I started to walk on stage. But a hand tightly grabbed my arm.
"Excuse me, ma'am, you're can't go on stage during the performance." One of the Panic! At the Disco crew guys sternly stated
"Yes I can! Brendon needs me!" I yelled as I broke away from the crew guy's grip
I ran onto the stage towards Brendon, who was standing there staring blankly into the crowd. What had happened? Once I got to Brendon I gently laid my hand on his shoulder and all I hear is murmurs from the audience.
"Bren... Are you ok?" I softly asked him and I got no answer
"Bren, I'm here it's ok. You can talk to me." I said
He didn't answer. He wrapped his arms around me and started to cry.
"Baby, are you ok?" I asked again
Still no answer, just sobs. I walked him off stage as Dallon, Kenny, and Dan just played whatever they wanted.
I took Brendon to his dressing room. Once we got to his dressing room I sat him down on the couch. I sat down next to him and he instantly put his head in my lap and started crying harder.
"Baby, what happened?" I asked softly while running my fingers through his hair
"Did you forget the lyrics?" I asked
"N-no. H-how could I f-forget the lyrics to y-your favorite s-song?" He said shakily
"Then what happened? It's ok, I'm here for you, Bren You can tell me." I assured him
"I-I just froze u-up. I-I don't know what h-happened." Brendon started to calm down a little
"It's ok. It happens." I said trying to comfort him
"B-but I just ruined the c-concert." Brendon stuttered
"No you didn't. You could always go back out there, if you want." I suggested
"No! I can't do it!" He whined
"Baby, yes you can. I believe in you." I said as Brendon sat up
"Ok. Fine. I'll do it." He said as I wiped away his remaining tears
I pressed my lips against Brendon's before walking him back to the stage.
"I love (y/n)." Brendon smiled
"I love you too, Brenny." I said
I gave Brendon a quick peck on the cheek before he walked back on stage. The crowd cheered as they saw him. They played "Vegas Lights" from the beginning and continued with the rest of the set.
