*DING DING DING*
That was the bell for dismissal. I ran to my locker. My goal at the end of the day was to get out of school as fast as I could. When I got to my locker I started putting my binders away. I'm the bottom locker and I hate it. I'm always so scared that something's gonna fall on me. I'd then packed up all the things in my backpack. Then I saw a note. I don't normally have many things in my locker besides the stuff I need. So it was weird to have a note in my locker. I stared at it for a few minutes. Then I finally picked it up.
I turned the note over. There was no signature. It was probably one of my friends. I mean who else would ask me to meet with them. So I texted my mom that I'd be home late. The library was so far away from where my locker was. I barely hung out with all of my friends in one place, so why not. I started to run.
I'd just reached the library. It seemed really quiet. Sure it's a library, but usually a lot of people stay after school in the library. So I assumed that there'd be some noise. I walked in. Nobody was there. Did someone seriously just prank me? Lord you fell for a stupid trick again. I rolled my eyes. I waited for a few minutes hoping someone would show up. Nobody did. I just sighed and walked towards the door. Just as I was going to open the door as someone did before me.
"Winter?!" said Shane.
"Shane?" I said,"what are you doing here?"
"I got a note I thought it was from one of you," he replied, "I guess it was."
"No, it actually wasn't me. I was actually just leaving," I said.
"Sure," he said in a sarcastic voice.
"I'm serious!" I said.
Just then my friends Bridgette, Gracie, and Skyler walked in.
"Hey guys, did you ask to meet me here?" asked Bridgette.
"No," I said.
"Don't look at me!" said Shane.
"Okay then," said Skyler.
"So nobody here sent this letter?" said Gracie.
"Hm... well that's where your wrong," said a boy while walking towards us.
"Who are you?" asked Shane.
"Well if I told you it wouldn't be as fun," he said.
"If this is some stupid joke I swear," said Gracie.
"I can assure you Gracie that this isn't a joke," he said.
She stood there looking shocked and I would be too if he knew my name.
"Do we know you?" I asked.
"I doubt it," the boy replied.
"More importantly do you know us?!" I said.
"Of course, Winter!" said the boy.
"Okay, but how?!" said Gracie.
"I have my ways," he replied.
"Hold up! Let's get this straight! You sent the letter, right?" said Skyler.
"Yes, that's correct," said the boy.
"But... how'd you?... never mind," mumbled Bridgette.
"So why are we all here?" asked Skyler.
"Good question," replied the boy.
"Your not going to answer us, are you?" said Shane.
"Let's just say that your life is about to change," said the boy.
"Wh-" I started to say.
Then the boy disappeared with a puff of smoke.
"Well um... that was interesting," said Shane.
The rest of us just stood there dumbfounded. Then when the bell run to tell us that after school was over, we went home.
