It was an egg. Not a normal egg, but abnormal egg. It was large, gold and white. I accidentally touched and it started to float. I started to inspect the egg and tried to put it down. It wouldn't budge. Instead it drifted into my backpack. I can't carry that egg and all my stuff to school! That thing probably weighs a ton! I rushed to pick the egg up and it was the heaviest thing I'd even tried to lift. How could something that has the capability to float be so heavy? The egg then started to shrink into a small egg. I picked up the egg, that was much lighter now, into a smaller pocket so it wouldn't be crushed. I decided that I should tell my friends about this.
"Winter? Are you getting ready to go to bed?" asked my mom.
"Now I am!" I replied and started running the water.
When I got up the next morning I had a lot of energy. Most of it was excitement, but the other part of it was questions going though my head. I packed my bag with all of my binders and double checked that the egg was still in its pocket. Then I ran out the door because I started to see the bus coming near my stop. Shane and Gracie were a few stops after me so I had time to think about how I would explain this to them. They'd believe me right? I mean we've been though weirder. I'll just say that an egg appeared to me that floated. Yeah, I'll work on it. I was on my phone until Gracie got on the bus.
"Gracie!"
"Yes?" she replied with a weird look on her face.
"Look!"I showed her my egg.
She looked shocked and started digging through her bag.
"Um, is everything okay?" I asked, but she ignored me and kept searching.
After a few minutes of silence the bus stopped and Shane got on the bus.
He saw Gracie and said, "Is everything okay? What's she looking for?"
"Okay, I finally found it!" she said as she pulled out a silver egg.
Shane then brought out his egg which was blue. This is going to be a long day.
The rest of the bus was quiet. Shane was on his phone playing a game and Gracie was listening to music. When we got to school I raced up to the library. I needed to know if Bridgette and Skyler had eggs too. They probably did but I wanted to make sure. I checked the clock on my phone and I realized that it was 7:50. Oh come on! My bus was late?! Ugh that means I have five minutes to talk to them and then I have to race to homebase. WHY?! I then took a deep breath. When I got up to the library I saw them sitting down at a table.
"Hey guys what's up?" I asked.
Skyler replied,"Nothing much, how about you?"
"Well I kind of have an egg," I said as I pulled out my egg.
"Ugh, I was hoping you guys didn't get one either," she then pulled out a green egg.
"Bridgette did you get one?" I asked.
She then took a red egg out of her pocket.
"Did the Shane and Gracie get one?" Bridgette asked.
"Yes. Shane's is blue and Gracie's is silver," I said. These's eggs are gorgeous. They had so much detail and I just loved the way they looked too. I checked my clock and it was 7:03.
"Well I'm going to go to homebase I'll see you all later," I replied while walking out the door. I ran to homebase. I knew I had time but it takes me forever to unpack so I try to get a head start.
