"We are next!" I fiddled with my hands while I stood next to Niall behind the red curtain. The rest of our group was sitting in the back auditorium seats waiting for Niall and I to audition.
I took in some deep breaths and let them go a few times to clam my nerves. I only had one day to figure out my song and memorize the lyrics since I knew I would forget them because of my nervousness.
"You got this K! Just pretend like it's just me and you. Just keep your eyes on me." Niall suggested as I nodded wanting to bite at my lip from my nervous habits.
"Next please!" Mr Cullivers shouted as a shut my eyes and let out one last breath while Niall put his hand on my shoulder. I nodded his way and picked up my stool while he grabbed his as well. Coming under the bright lights and the few judges I saw lined up in their seats I placed my little wooden stool right across from Niall who began to set up with guitar.
"Ah Miss Ramsey! It's nice to see you, what are you going to be doing for us today?" Mr. Cullivers asked as I stared at his receding hairline. Mr. Cullivers was an odd looking man with an egg shaped head and lavishly dressed for a high school performing arts teacher.
"I'm going to be performing the song "All I Want" by Kodaline." I told him with all the confidence I let shine through despite my growing stress from three teachers eyes on me.
"Alright off you go then." Mr. Cullivers gestured with his hand making me internally laugh, Louis' impression had been so spot on.
Taking a seat next to Niall on the stool he counted me in, beginning to pluck to the melody of the song I had chosen. I watched his fingers tickle the strings of his guitar while I waited to sing out the first line.
"All I want is nothing more, to hear you knocking at my door." I closed my eyes hearing in the music when it was time for me to sing. I let my voice ring out as we soon approached
"But if you loved me, why'd you leave me? Take my body, take my body. All I want is and all I need is to find somebody, I'll find somebody. Like you." My eyes concentrated on Niall as his crystal blue eyes were trained on mine. It felt as though Niall and I were the only ones in the auditorium while I sang to him, eliminating all my fears the spotlight illuminated us while the rest of the room was dark.
Niall grinned at me as he strummed the last bit bring the song to an end. I gave a breathy laugh into the microphone just as I hear claps erupt from our little audience. Putting my hand pulled my mouth to hide how happy I was I saw Mr. Cullivers smile at me and nod as Niall and I walked hand in hand closer to the edge of the stage so we could hear our results.
"With no doubt in my mind I believe you two will be the best contestants we have this year. Kendall your voice is so pure and the way you use so much finesse gives me goosebumps!" Mr. Cullivers complimented bringing up my self confidence when it came to singing in front of others that weren't my friends. "And Niall, the way you effortlessly carry the melody on your guitar is flawless! Absolutely flawless!"
"Thank you!" We both said in unison as we listened to the other judges review on our little performance we had done to try and get into the show. We had gotten good feedback which meant we were able to perform in the actual show.
Turning to Niall I jumped into his chest and wrapped my arms around his neck to embrace him. He smelt of cologne that was familiar to me, the same cologne that Harry wore in fact. My heart was rolling and jumping in my chest at the adrenaline that was running through my veins from the audition Niall and I had nailed.
"Thanks Niall, I couldn't have done it without you." I held his hand as we walked backstage for the next act to go on.
"Of course you could have Ken, you are talented all on your own." She grinned at me as we found ourselves back in the long hallways where lockers and classrooms lined every wall.
"You guys were amazing up there!" Harry commented coming up to me and grabbing me by my waist and picking me up while I wrapped my legs around his hip and hooked my arms around his neck while he kissed me.
"Thanks!" I smiled biting my lip when Harry then again went in for another kiss.
"God, I feel like this is so high school musical." Louis teased us while I deliberately looked at him and kissed Harry once again while flashing Louis my middle finger.
"You only wish you were getting this from Blair." I raised a brow as Louis laughed around with the group, Niall nudging him in the shoulder.
"Roasted like a damn rotisserie chicken." Blair told me pretending to throw money at Harry and I while I just smirked and took my victory in Louis' attempt to comment on Harry and I's relationship.
Hello my fellow North High kids,
It's that time of year again, when presents are being wrapped and Santa checks his naughty and nice list twice. It's also the time of year when all of North High's talent makes themselves known by auditioning for the Christmas Talent show, this years roster? None other then our Queen K, word on the street says she got a set of pipes on her. Maybe this year the talent will actually be worth watching since our Queen K and Niall will be performing for us. This years perforce sure will be interesting and I'm more then excited to kick back relax and watch it all happen.
