Family dinners are something that are mandatory in this household of mine and at times I challenged this. I wasn't one for talking about the day's events with my parents, mostly because I found it pointless to give them a run down of my life. They already didn't like the fact that I was the "it girl" on Gigi's site since they claimed to everyone I was the perfect daughter.

My parents wanted to keep a certain persona on for the outside world. They wanted to put on a show to the rest of the world that we had our shit together and that everyone was perfect. I didn't and still don't understand why this mask was so important to them and I made it clear to them.

Having my face pasted all over the schools gossip website didn't help their case. They would often talk me up, tell others that I was that of a perfect daughter. One look at Gigi's site and that was the end of that mask. I wasn't perfect nor do I want to be, what's the fun in being perfect anyway? My imperfections is what made me interesting and utterly fun to be around. My imperfections is what landed me on the schools gossip website in the first place.

"How was school today?" My mother asked. She forked a steamed broccoli into her mouth while I texted Blair under the table. "Kendall!"

"Yeah?" I snapped my head up coming into eye contact with the woman that birthed me eighteen years ago.

"You know the rules, no phones at the table." My mother raised an eyebrow at me to show her displeased attitude towards my choice to text at the dinner table.

"Speaking of phones, Kendall was all over Gigi's website today!" My sister Kayla piped in, darting my eyes to her and narrowing my sight I saw a smirk appear on her lips.

"Kendall!" My mother looked at my dad with again another disapproving look. Sighing silently at Kayla who looked very satisfied with herself I ran I hand through my curled hair.

"Kendall if we haven't told you we have told you a million times! Do you think a nice college will be willing to take on a girl who is as wild as she appears to be on social media? A young woman should not be the hot topic of a high school gossip column!" My mother ripped into me with those dark brown eyes I had acquired from her.

Kayla took every possible opportunity she could to rat me out to my parents. She thrives on being the "less problematic" child of the three of us siblings. I hated being the oldest for one reason and one reason only, my mother would always point out that I needed to be the example. That because I'm oldest Kayla and Sammie will look up to me and for that I needed to be a good example.

"What did you do this week?" My dad asked me pressing his fingertips against his forehead. I felt like we had this conversation weekly with all the gossip that floated around Gigi's site.

"I just pulled a prank and-" I began to explain but again was cut off by Kayla. Snapping my head to the side to get a better view of her I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"She was at Harry's last night!" Kayla went on to add as if she didn't already get me in enough trouble.

"Kendall what did we say about all your behavior last week? I feel like a broken record!" My mother tossed her blonde hair out of her face and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Mom, what's wrong with having a little fun? It didn't hurt anyone!" I defended thinking back to the good time Blair and I had last night and the rewarding walk of shame I saw Harry take this morning to his desk.

"It hurt your reputation Kendall!" My mom tried pushing at me causing me to slump in my chair and sigh heavily.

"Okay mom." I pushed my chair away from the table about to excuse myself. "I'm not hungry anymore." I took my plate still half full of dinner and stood up.
