Today was game day and I was ready to play. It had been a couple of days since I've been practicing with the boys but I feel like I'm ready to play.
Most of them guys on the team made fun of me or would shove me around during practice but I just brushed it off cause it's all about playing.
God will handle them.
Before the game we were in the locker room getting dressed and the coach was talking to us.
"I want y'all to go out there and play hard and give it all y'all got." Our coach said as I put the band around my glasses so they could stay on.
"So is nerd starting today or what." The boy Brandon from my English class that kept picking on me said.
"Yes he is while you sit on the bench." My coach said and everyone laughed expect me I just ignored them.
"You ready to play weirdo?" One of the other players asked me.
"Yeah." I told him lowly.
"You a pussy." Brandon said.
I didn't speak back I just laced my shoes up and went into the classroom where we went over plays.
"Okay Justise you will be running point guard and Brandon you will be a center today." My coach said as we both nodded.
"Okay Justise just make sure that everyone in they spots and let's go out and there and play hard." My coach said clapping as we ran out to the court.
We were warming up as we just shot around and then that's when I saw Aerin walk in.
