Justise Winslow
"Marcus?" I asked as I saw somebody that resembled my friend marcus who was killed back when I was in Chicago.
"Who's that's? just wanted the shoe." The guy told me as he shrugged and I shook my head and then nodded.
"Yeah I'll get that for you." I told him as I walked to the back and grabbed the correct size then headed back to the front.
"Here you go, sorry about that man."
"It's nothing." He said trying on the shoe as he moved around a little and nodded.
"Yeah I'll get them." He told me as he took the shoes off and placed it into the box.
"Alright I'll ring you up over here." I pointed to towards the register as he followed me with the shoe box in his hand.
After I rung him up, I straighten up different things and folded them as Aerin just sat there playing Josiah in pool.
Looking at the time I seen I had been here for four hours and it was time for Aerin to take her meds.
Walking over to Aerin I asked her for my phone as she gave it to me and I opened the message app texting Mikayla.
Me: Hey. Do you mind buying Aerin some Chic fil a, I'll pay you. 8:45 pm
MK😎🤘🏽: Yeah I gotcha bro, don't worry about paying me I got it. 8:46 pm
Me: she wants 8 count nuggets with fries and large sweet tea 👀🙄 8:47 pm
After I told her that, she left me on read and took about 15 minutes to get to me and she brung Aerin the food along with my usual.
"Thanks kay." I told her as she nodded.
"Here you go." I told Aerin as she smiled at the food and she ate as I grabbed her meds out my pocket and put it under my tongue.
"Thank you."
"Gimme kiss." I told her as she was hesitant but did anyways and when I slipped the pill into her mouth she caught on to not wanting people to see.
After we finish kissing she drunk some of her drink to wash it down.
"Thanks." She smiled a little bit.
"Welcome." I told her about to get up as she grabbed onto me.
"I'm sorry I can't remember anything." She said into my chest as I rubbed her back.
"It's okay." I said as I kissed her forehead.
Once she was finish she pulled away and sat back down as I finished up working.
After the mall closed I was standing behind the register counting the money as this guy I met out here named Benjamin I became cool with that I work with.
"Wassup bro, how you been?" He asked me as I shrugged.
"It could be better."
"I feel you." He said as I handed him the money to recount and make sure it was right.
"Your girl she knocked out." He said as I looked over at Aerin on the couch sleeping.
"I know." I chuckled shaking my head.
"Your strong bro and I guarantee y'all going to get through all this." He patted my shoulder after handing me back the money and headed to the back to make sure all the shoes were in the right place.
"Alright I'm out." MK came into the store as she peeped her head in.
"Alright I'll see you Saturday." I told her knowing that she was going out of town today.
