Aerin Creer"Does this hurt?" I asked Justise as I iced his knee.
"Nah it feels good thanks." He said as I massaged it with some oil and iced it at the same time.
I was currently at his house and I found myself over here all the time.
But I was over here because his knee was bothering him after the game and he couldn't sleep.
"Thank you for coming over." He smiled as he was falling asleep.
"Your welcome I told you if you need anything I was willing to help you."
"That's good, so where's your father I've only spoke to your mother." He trailed off.
"When I was smaller my dad left my mom."
"How? Your mom is very pretty."
"Well when your money hungry and don't care to wait around for someone who is poor then that's what happens." I stated simply.
"Tell me the full story."
"I don't know the full story that's just from what my mother told me, she said that he left her for a white women and has two kids now." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Aw man I'm sorry about that, but are you sure that's the truth?" He asked me.
I snapped my head back in confusion. "Excuse me?"
"I'm just saying sometime pare-"
"My mom is not a liar if that's what your trying to call her." I said with a upset face.
"I'm not calling her a liar Aerin, I'm just saying maybe she didn't tell the truth all the way through." He tried to reason but I was already upset.
"Maybe I should just go. I'll see you on Monday." I told him as I got and put my vans on. I grabbed my bookbag and headed out but not before saying bye to Mr and Mrs Winslow.
I kept walking until my phone started to ring, looking at it I saw Justise was calling me. Ignoring it I kept walking until it started to rain but I was almost home.
I kept walking until a pair of strong hands wrapped around my waist and I turned around about to smack them and run til I met eyes with Justise.
"Aerin." He said out of breathe, he must have ran.
"Aerin, please calm down I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that." He said as I folded my arms across my chest as we both were getting soaked from the rain.
"Okay... are you going to say something?"
"Something." I retorted back smartly.
He grabbed me by my waist again but closer and towered over me as my breathe became hitched.
"Aerin, stop being stubborn I said I was sorry and that I didn't mean it like that." He told me as I grabbed onto him and hugged him.
I didn't mean to act out but I just hate how everyone has a mom and dad and I just have a mom not a dad.
Despite the rain and everything going on around us I could be out here with Justise all night long and just hug him. He makes everything feel alright and makes me feel safe and that's why I feel so close to him.
"Let's go." He said as we walked the rest of the way towards my house.
We arrived to the front door and I saw a man I haven't seen since I was smaller sitting in the kitchen with my mother crying.
