Marco's POV

A few days after Jackie left, I received a call from Dipper.

"Hey, Dip. How's the shack?"

"Dude! It's been AWESOME!! Grunkle Ford took me with Grunkle Stan on one of their trips, since it's near Gravity Falls and we found that monster island with the big teeth and-"

"Woah! Slow down, tiger.  I can barely understand what you're saying."

"Sorry, Marco. Got too excited."

"Wait, Stan has a twin? I thought you and Mabel were the only twins in your family?"

"That's what we thought. Wait, I think I forgot to tell you remeber the--"

"HEYO!! 'Sup Diaz!!" it was Mabel.

"MABEL!! I am in the middle of something!!" I heard Dipper's girlish screams from the other end of the line.

"Hey, Marco! Call, Star!! Tell her we're goin' on a sleepover!!"

"S-star? As in, Star Butterfly?" I forgot that they didn't know about Star's trip home to Mewni.

"Duh!! Are there other 'Star's there??"

"Yeah. Like the Sun," I joked. I heard Dipper on the other end. He was laughing his butt off. Mabel, on the other hand, sound confused.

"I don't get it... How did the Sun get involved in this?" Dipper was right, Mabel never listens during class.

"Mabes, the Sun is a star," Dipper started explaining what the Sun is to Mabel.

"I get it now! The Sun is a kind of star. Not Star-star but Sun-star."

"Nevermind that, Star isn't here anymore."

"Wha-- How? When? WHY?!" Mabel sounded baffled. I forgot that they didn't know about Star's departure.

"Don't worry. I can still contact her. She left her mirror."

Mabel sighed in relief, "Tell her to come."

"I will. Bye, guys," I hung up. Now I have to call Star.

It's been a few days, more like weeks, since we last talked. I don't even know if she's forgiven me already. I hope she does... I can't stand to be without her. I know I sound like a stalker, but Star's my best friend. She's the reason why I was able to be with Jackie, the reason why I have adventures to remember, she changed my life. But when she left, my life turned into hell. I could barely face Jackie, I won't be able to walk past Oskar without earning a bruise or two and I have to suffer all the disapproving looks everyone gives me.

I couldn't take it...

Star's POV

I was eating dinner with my family when one of the servants came. It was Manfred. "Miss Star Butterfly," he bowed down, "Your mirror is ringing." I tensed up. Who could call me at this hour?

I excused myself and went to my room upstairs. Since I came back to Mewni, I've been going through princess training. It's more like manners training if you ask me.

When I saw the name on my mirror, I was both happy and sad. Happy because he still remembers me and I get to talk to him. Sad because... No need to say that... You already know why...

I answered the mirror and was greeted by his angelic face.

"Hi, Star."

It was him...

It was really him...

Marco...
