Part One.

"I would die for you, my love." I romantically sang, yet whispering in Daniel's ear. As he was sitting on the step lower than me, I could see a sweet smile playing on his sharp, white lips.

"To conclude this assembly, I would like to disclose my retirement." Our principal proudly spoke. Gasps breezed over the crowd of 5th year's, delicate and petite, masculine and strong hands covered gaping mouths while the two deputy principals whispered, almost looking like they were flirting. I doubt it, they were both happily married from what I've heard.

As soon as we could stand up and leave, I quickly grasped Daniel's skinny wrist.

"You would die for me, but you wouldn't come out for me, eh?" He said, shooting me daggers.

"Oh, come on, you know I will, Dan, just give me time,"

"It's been two years, Jason!" He sighed, putting an emphasis on 'two', pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. By now, we were the last ones behind the crowd reluctantly walking back to class. I nodded and thought about his negative answer. He's right, my fear has been holding a weight on our relationship. For two years, we have been secretly in love. Absolutely madly, passionately, deeply infatuated with each other. We have been mistaken as a couple in shopping centres and what not. Nobody knows though, not even our families.

"Because none of it was ever worth the risk, well, you are the only exception," I smiled, "I'll do it, Dan, for you,"

Immediately, his eyebrows shot up and it was clear he wanted to grin to his heart's content.

"R-really?" He stuttered, clearly nervous, and knowing him, feeling guilty.

I kissed his cheek, and like per usual, made him blush.

"When?" Daniel questioned, "And how?"

"I'll surprise you. Have a fun in biology." I winked, making him blush even more.

"Excuse me, there will be a ceremony held on Friday evening for Mr. Walsh's retirement. And could Jason Wolfe please report to the office." The lady on the intercom announced.

Without thinking, I got out of my seat and made my way to the office. It was frequent that I was called to reception. I am captin of the school's All Ireland winning football team, of course I was famous. I have a cabinet in my bedroom dedicated to trophies for football alone. I could easily win over any girl, so easy it's ridiculous and not fun at all. I like adventure, in which Daniel provides.

"Yes, Miss?" I asked the woman on reception.

"Oh, here is your speech. Can you read it at the ceremony on Friday after Nigel's?" She practically ordered me.

I nodded and went back to class.
