I slept in later than usual due to a dream I didn't want to leave but it's hard to sleep in any later than 11am due to a loud, sugared up 7 year old. But I woke up feeling how I went to sleep, excited and full of hope. I was excited about tonight but I didn't want to act over eager and start getting ready 7 hours earlier so instead I pulled on my dressing gown and headed downstairs to make breakfast. '' Good Morning Lou'' my mum said cheerfully but disapproved to the fact I got up so late. '' Morning '' I replied in a tired tone. '' You're not planning on going out tonight until god knows what time, are you?'' Mum exclaimed harshly. '' No... I'm going out this evening with a... f-friend but I'll be back by at the latest 10'' I replied nervously. ''Hm? And what ''friend'' is this, Louisa?'' Her tone felt accusing. '' just a friend, mum... from high school'' with a swift side eye from my mother the conversation was over. After breakfast, chores, a walk, dinner, it was time to get ready.

Just be casual, Lou. You're only meeting him, it's not a date. I thought to myself while picking my outfit. In the end I went with some straight cut denims, a plain t shirt and a long jacket with a pair of mums old leather boots. I looked at my watch, exactly 6pm. out the window I looked to see he was already there, parked where he dropped me off the night before. I hurriedly double checked my pockets for the essentials, cigarettes and change, and I was ready. ''Mum I'm going! Love you'' I shouted before heading off towards his car. I felt his eyes on me as I walked towards him, I stared at the ground. He opened the passenger door for me from the inside of his car before quickly gesturing me to sit down. I closed the door and looked at him. '' Hi '' I said, hiding the fact I was out of breath walking 10 steps down the road. It was still light outside  so I could see his face better than I could last night, suddenly it hit me from where I recognised him from, no it couldn't be! I suddenly felt slightly nauseous and other emotions I couldn't quite grasp.  " Are you okay?" He asked caringly.  "me? Yes I'm fine!... where are we going?" I replied. " i know this great little diner" he said, starting the car. " you'll love it." Although, I still felt unease, he made me relax, I decided it was time to ask him who he was. '' I'm David Bowie '' he replied. '' You're David Bowie? And you're with me right now because..?" I questioned. He looked at me for a few seconds ''well, I think you're beautiful''. I felt my cheeks begin to burn, a pathetic smile began to grow across my face so I quickly looked out the window so he couldn't see. '' I'd love to get to know you. You haven't even told me your name!'' He continued laughing. ''I'm Lou, short for Louisa, last name, Taylor I'm 18. I've lived here since I was 11. I was born in Texas. My father is English, I never knew him though. My mother is from Texas, she's lovely... i dont know what else to say'' I laughed. ''Have you ever visited England?'' He quickly asked. '' No, but my mother did. She said it was beautiful. If we had enough money we would've moved over there'' I replied. '' I was born and raised near London. It was... Nice. British people aren't the best, they're very... Stern.'' He said, while concentrating on the, surprisingly, busy road. '' I love your accent, I wish I had an English accent'' I burst out before I realised what I just said and began blushing. '' I also love yours, Lou'' he quietly replied ignoring how embarrassed I looked. A few moments passed as we sat in silence with a radio playing quietly. I liked the silence, it helped me avoid saying anything stupid. ''And we're here'' he said, breaking my daydream.
