Bun

I woke up to the feeling of morning sickness. I sighed. This morning sickness had come every morning for the past thirty days. Not to mention I had these cravings, and am moodier than normal. Plus, Olivia and Petra are teasing me about how I'm fat. I'm not, but my stomach is rounder than normal. I have been training to try and return to my normal size, but it wasn't working. It almost seemed every day my stomach got a tiny bit bigger. I should talk to Ellegaard, Olivia and Petra about this today, while the boys are out gathering materials for the town.

~Later~

"What did you want to talk about Jesse?" Olivia asked. "Listen, I have no clue what's going on. But, I think something's up. I mean, I have had morning sickness, cravings, been very moody, and am a bit rounder for the past thirty days. Do you girls know what's up?" I asked. The three stayed silent for a few moments before Ellegaard said, "What if you're pregnant?" Petra and Olivia looked at Ellegaard as if she had grown another head. "There's no way!" Petra exclaimed. "Hey, the effects Jesse has been going through are the exact same for what I've been going through since I became pregnant!" Ellegaard defended herself. Ellegaard was three months pregnant with her and Magnus's child, so she would know best about my symptoms. "Why don't we just get a test and check to see." Olivia said. "Sounds good. Jesse and I will be waiting at her house for you two to get the test." Ellegaard said. The two ran off to the nearest store as Ellegaard and I walked back to my house.

~Twelve minutes later~

"I can't look! What does it say?" I asked, covering my eyes with my hands. Petra and Olivia had gotten two tests, just in case. "I-It has two lines!" Olivia exclaimed. "WHAT?!" I exclaimed. I uncovered my eyes and, sure enough, two lines were clearly visible. I read the back of the box and it said two lines means I'm pregnant. "Alright, just to make sure, take the other test to make sure!" Ellegaard said. A few short minutes later, the second test showed two lines as well. "No way! JESSE, YOU'RE PREGNANT!" Olivia squealed. I put my hand over my mouth and closed my eyes as tears fell down my cheeks. Lukas and I had desperately wanted a child, but we hadn't been blessed with one. "How are you gonna tell him?" Petra asked. I had an idea and I told them, before we went to the store to buy what we needed.

~A few hours later~

The boys had returned, and we were having a big dinner. Gabriel, Ivor, Soren, Harper, Lucy, Gill, Magnus, Ellegaard, Olivia, Axel, J, Petra, Lukas and I were all there. I had planned the big reveal, and Lukas was in the kitchen when the timer went off. "Lukas, can you get that for me?" I called. "Sure!" Lukas called back. Petra, Ellegaard, Olivia and I smirked at each other when we heard Lukas open the oven. He walked out a few moments later, holding a piece of bread. A bun. He looked confused beyond all belief. "There is something I'm not getting here." he said. Everyone except Ellegaard, Olivia, Petra and I looked confused. Although Harper and Lucy got it a few moments later. Us girls all burst out laughing when the boys still didn't get it. We were all desperately holding our chairs to make sure we didn't fall out of them. Petra, however, was on the ground laughing. J was desperately trying to calm his fiance down. "Please, put the pieces together!" Olivia pleaded between laughs. "Its a bun, that was in the oven." Lukas said, confusion obviously there. His eyes widened after a moment. By that time I had composed myself, standing up, although a small giggle escaped me.

Lukas dropped the piece of bread, which landed on the counter, and he ran to me. He immediately scooped me into his arms and kissed me. "Jess, I can't believe it!" Lukas exclaimed when we pulled away. I smiled and the other boys still didn't get it. "What?" Axel asked. "Axel! Jesse is pregnant!" Olivia squealed, unable to hold it in any longer. The boys all looked at me in shock. Lukas set me on the ground as the boys all burst out in questions. I smiled at Lukas, and he smiled back, kissing the top of my head.

~Eight months later~

Jesse lay on the hospital bed, her black hair falling around her shoulders. She was asleep, exhausted after giving birth. Lukas sat in the chair next to her bed, holding their child. It was a girl, with black hair and blue eyes. She was wrapped in a pink blanket, and she was asleep. She wasn't named yet, since Lukas wanted to wait until Jesse woke up to choose a name. As if on cue, Jesse opened her eyes and looked at Lukas and their daughter. "She's beautiful..." Jesse whispered, her green eyes tired but glowing. "She takes after you." Lukas replied. "Have you thought of a name?" Jesse asked. "I wanted to wait until you woke up." Lukas replied. Jesse smiled as she thought. "How about Julia?" Jesse asked. "Julia... It's perfect." I replied. Jesse smiled and I smiled back. We had a happy family, and that is better than any treasure or adventure in the entire world.
