Jesse brought out her sword and aimed it at the Admin. "You wanted a fight, you got it," she said. The Admin laughed and reached down and plucked Jesse up in his fist. She tried swinging her sword, but it was all in vain. "Looking a little helpless, Champion," the Admin taunted. Jesse swung her sword a few more times, now growing fearful of what was about to happen. "I'm using Champion there sarcastically," the Admin added. He slowly reached his fist toward his mouth. "HEY ROCK-FACE! EAT THIS!" a voice shouted. He suddenly cried out in pain as an arrow shot and hit him in the eye. Jesse was now hanging on desperately to the Admin's hand, now free, as his arm swung down to by his side. Jesse let go of the Admin and fell to the ground, landing behind Lukas on his horse. "Lukas!" Jesse exclaimed happily. "Good to see you too, Jesse!" Lukas replied. They galloped away from the Admin as he tried to get up. He roared Jesse's name in anger.
"What is that?" Lukas asked, turning around to look at the Admin before turning back to the road. "Quick version, the Admin. He, like, built the world or something!" Jesse replied, wrapping her arms around Lukas's waist to not fall off the horse. Lukas quickly stopped the horse. "O-kay. Are you all right?" Lukas asked, looking at Jesse over his shoulder. "Yeah, I'm good. Lukas, you just saved my life. Thanks," Jesse replied. "Of course! Heh, I always wanted to ride into battle," Lukas said. They looked over at the Admin who was now standing up, towering over everything. "Sure hope you got an idea here," Lukas said. "I saw a spot on the back of his head that I'm hoping might be the key to defeating him," Jesse replied, pointing to the glowing marks. "Sounds like I better keep him distracted then," Lukas said, hopping off the horse. Jesse moved forward so now she was sitting in the saddle. "Thanks, Lukas. Please be careful," Jesse replied. Lukas nodded before running off. Jesse spurred the horse to a gallop and rode around the buildings till she was facing the Admin's back.
"Hey, blockhead! If you want Jesse, you need to go through me first! And I don't think you stand a chance!" Lukas shouted at the Admin as he aimed an arrow. He let the arrow fly and it hit the Admin's stone beard. "You're protecting Jesse? Oh please! All these interruptions are becoming annoying!" the Admin said. Lukas started to take slow steps away from the Admin. "All right girl. Let's see what you got," Jesse said. Jesse turned the horse and galloped right at the Admin. "That ends now," the Admin said. Lukas jumped off his perch and avoided the Admin, distracting him as Jesse jumped off the horse and grabbed onto the Admin's foot. She climbed on and stood on his heel as the Admin looked down at her. "I knew you'd come eventually," the Admin said. "You don't know anything about me!" Jesse shouted. The Admin aimed his fist at Jesse, who jumped up onto his back and started climbing up it. "AUGH! WHERE ARE YOU?!" the Admin shouted. He nearly stepped on a small building. "HEY!" Jesse shouted. "Oh, I'm sorry. Sure would be a pity if- Oops," the Admin said as he purposely stepped on the building.
Reuben's memorial was demolished.
"NO! You're gonna wish you'd never done that, Admin," Jesse growled. The Admin aimed a fist at Jesse but missed and she quickly grabbed onto his hand. The Admin brought his hand up to see Jesse. "Do you really think you can defeat me, Jesse?" the Admin asked. Jesse started running up his arm to the back of his head, narrowly avoiding the Admin's other fist being brought down to crush her. "I don't think. I know," Jesse replied. Jesse crawled along the side of his head, making her way to the back. "Confidence. The mark of a true hero," the Admin said as he hit the side of his head with his fist twice. Jesse jumped from the edge of the side of his head to the middle marking on the back. Jesse brought her fist back and punched the mark twice, making the Admin fall to his knees. "Well.... fought... my.... Champion..." the Admin groaned. He poofed out of existence, dropping Jesse. She cried out in alarm as she fell. Before she hit the ground, she fell into something else. She opened her eyes and found herself staring into the lagoon blue eyes of one of her friends.
"You okay?" Lukas asked. "Y-Yeah. Fine," Jesse replied. Lukas gently set her down on the ground. "Thanks for the saves," Jesse said. "It's not a problem," Lukas replied, rubbing the back of his head as his cheeks flushed a light pink. They turned to look at the large clock the Admin had dropped. They walked over with Jack, Radar, and Petra. Petra smirked at Jesse and winked. Jesse felt her cheeks flush red as she glared at the warrior. "How do we fix it?" Radar asked. Jesse leaned over and moved the clock handles until it showed as noon. The sky started moving and the sun came back up. The people cheered as the mobs that had been swarming the streets now disappeared in a puff of smoke. They all looked around with smiles as the people began grabbing materials to rebuild. Lukas turned to Jesse as she turned to him. "I know this is late, but you have impeccable timing," Jesse said. "Why thank you," Lukas replied. Jesse smiled at him before she turned away, feeling her cheeks heat up. 'Please don't let him see...' Jesse inwardly pleaded.
"Hey, Jesse, you doing all right?"
Jesse stiffened and looked up at Petra. She was struggling to contain her laughter. "You don't look so good. You look kinda warm," Petra added loudly. Now Lukas turned back toward Jesse, raising an eyebrow. Jesse glared at Petra, who snickered. "Jess, you sure you're okay?" Lukas asked. "I'm fine. Heh, fighting a giant stone being that created the world takes a lot out of you," Jesse replied, not turning to face Lukas. "Maybe we should get you checked out just in case. I mean, your face is turning red," Petra pointed out. Lukas's blue eyes grew worried. "Jess, look at me," he said. 'Oh no no no no no. If I look at him he's going to know something's up. DARN YOU PETRA!' Jesse freaked out in her thoughts. She sent a final glare at Petra that said 'You-better-sleep-with-one-eye-open'. Petra smiled as she struggled to keep her laughter contained. Lukas placed his hand on her shoulder and lightly pushed it to have Jesse face him. 'Why why why why why why why why?!' Jesse thought as she looked at Lukas. His blue eyes were still worried when he saw Jesse's face, which was almost as red as an apple. He placed the back of his hand against her forehead, checking her temperature. Petra walked away with Jack and Radar to give the two privacy. Well, as much as they could since they were literally standing in the middle of the road at high noon with the streets filled with people rebuilding.
Jesse tried to duck her head away from Lukas. "I'm fine, really!" she said. "Jesse, you don't look the greatest. We should get you back to your place so you can get some rest," Lukas said, trying to make sure she was okay. "No, no, it's all good! Everything is cool," Jesse tried convincing Lukas at the same time as avoiding his efforts to check on her. This continued on as Jesse backed up and Lukas walked forward. But, Jesse's foot caught on some rubble and she fell to the ground, accidentally kicking Lukas's knee which made him fall to the ground as well. Jesse looked up to find Lukas on his hands and knees above her. Her face turned even darker red. "U-Uhhh....." she stammered. Lukas's face also flushed red upon realizing their predicament. "S-Sorry, J-Jess," he quickly stammered. Jesse nodded in reply. Lukas stood up and held his hand out to her. Jesse took it and Lukas helped pull her up. What he didn't account for was the fact Jesse's legs felt like Jell-O from their previous predicament, so when he pulled Jesse up all she did was have her legs buckle from under her and collapse onto Lukas, sending them crashing to the ground again. This time Lukas fell to the ground and Jesse landed on top of him.
Their eyes widened upon realizing their lips were touching.
They pulled away quickly, their faces both blushing dark red. Petra was rolling around on the floor wheezing from her place thirty feet away from them. Radar was staring at them in shock, his eyes wider than moons and his jaw hanging down. Jack was smirking and trying to hold in his laughter. Lukas and Jesse stared into each others' eyes. Their first kiss had just occurred, and it was a complete accident it even happened! Well, it was Lukas' first kiss, Jesse's second. Her first kiss had been stolen by Aiden back when they were teenagers and Jesse thought he actually loved her when he was just using her. But it was their first kiss together! "U-Umm, J-J-Jess, I....." Lukas stammered. Jesse and Lukas leaned closer. Ever so closer. Finally, their lips touched again. It wasn't like how books pictured a first kiss. No fireworks, no feeling of feeling like you had just jumped off a cliff, none of that cliche stuff. This was a kiss that had a tingling sensation go down their spines and feelings of love come up. They pulled away after a moment and stared into each others' eyes. "Lukas...." Jesse whispered. Lukas gently pulled Jesse closer to him. They hugged tightly. It was a perfect ending to the battle they had just witnessed.
