This has been bugging me because I have had enough of Mary Sues. What are Mary Sues you ask? I'll show you the definition

(From the wonderful KatoKaori Oc guide book) Now here's all of the flaws I can see 1. Ripping off a canon character's name. Not even Koji and Kouchi do that, and their twins! 2. Being related to a canon character. I have 2 ocs like that for Frontier 02, but I'm removing them from the story for improvement. 3. Design ripoff much? I know at this moment Ariel is a recolor of Koji but she has a lot more outfits than that one and she's way different than Koji 4. No Digimon.... Unless they're a guide like Bokomon and Neemon, just no. 5. Same spirits... Once again, Ariel,Ronku, and Takumi have the same concept but theirs are unique ideas and plus we didn't see humans for the other 4 6. Don't rip off other personalities. If it's a cliche, change it up! 7. Same as the rest but with background
Now that the flaws are pointed out, here's an oc that many of you have seen before and I seriously hope he isn't a Mary Sue.
Ariel: We're talking about Anthony aren't we. Me: I am, you're not. Ariel: Fine.
1. His design isn't made up of that many colors. Mainly Browns and green with some gray and white. There isn't a million colors flying around. 2. He has his physical flaws. He's short, unnaturally short. He's really skinny. Not every boy has abs that you can make waffles in. 3. His mental flaws often show (but not yet in Frontier 02) like he's naive enough to believe he's doing right. He's still a child. Think Tommy/ Tomoki from the beginning of Frontier. He was weak but grew as a character. Children are allowed to be brats. 4. Not everyone is all over him. In fact it's the opposite. Ariel protects him because she thinks he's a cinnamon roll. The group keeps him around for awhile because he knows where the villain of the series is. Only then they see him as a part of the team, and not a traitor.
Sure he's based very heavily on another character and has no parents but that makes him treasure everyone even more. Especially Ariel and Camilla
