The boy was tall and scrawny, still barely healthy though. His flannel was stained and unbuttoned. In Kasey's opinion he looked like a sloppy pig which wasn't too far from the truth.
"Nice to meet you..," Kasey said as her eyes filled with disappointment. Josh looked up at her with a groggy smile as he moved the blankets off his lap. When he walked past her a faint stench of smoke wafted off his dirty clothes. She could now smell the liquor stains on his shirt, it was rancid.
"How'd you sleep babe?" Kathrine asked as Josh went to the cupboard. He took out a shot glass and a mystery drink.
"Fine, what's this tramp doing here anyways?" he chugged the shot and poured another before putting the alcohol away. Kasey was livid at this point, smoke practically coming from her ears. If anything she wanted to throw his shot glass off the balcony.
"Josh, don't call my friends those names, I told you that last time," Kat looked embarrassed, she too knew his behavior was... inappropriate.
"Yeah yeah, who is she?" Josh had finished his second shot and put the shot glass into the sink instead of washing it himself.
"I'm Kasey. Aren't you going to wash that?" she asked with a scowl on her face.
"Since when did you become my mother?" Josh replied sourly. He sluggishly made his way to Kat who was already pushing his arms off her.
"Babe, you shouldn't be rude to our guest," she struggles as Josh held her around the waist.
"Come back to the bed baby," Josh seemed to had forgotten Kasey was even there, sickening.
"Josh, stop it," Kathrine was squirming in his drunken grasp.
"C'mon babe, I wanna' have fun," he was smelling her hair now. At this point Kasey was ready to punch his stupid face in.
"Excuse me, I'm still here," Kasey waved her hand in front of his face.
"Oh, you're friend can join us too if she'd like," Josh tugged at Kat's shirt which made Kasey furious. Kat held his wrists trying to stop him, to no prevail.
"Babe, get off me," she was obviously uncomfortable and was practically begging for help now. Josh just shook his head ignoring her commands.
"Let go of her you gross alcoholic," Kasey scolded him as she glared at his dazed face.
"Make me bitch," he said mockingly doubting Kasey's strength. She had lost it and only a moment passed before she had punched him in the face at least three times. He was passed out on the floor from the blows to the head and Kathrine was already packing her stuff.
"We're going back to my place," Kasey walked to the sink and grabbed his shot glass. She stomped to the balcony and promptly chucked the glass out the window onto the road below luckily not hitting any cars. Kasey scribbled a note and left it on his head as she followed Kat out the door holding one of Kat's pillows. On the note it read:
