As soon as Kasey got home Kathrine had jumped on her bed. She laughed as she fell onto her back, her hair messy and in her face.
"Nice place you got here! Got any pets?" Kat started taking out her clothes from her backpack like Kasey's apartment was her own.
"Yeah I have a cat. His name's Oakley actually," Kasey grabbed her fluffy cat and set him on the bed next to Kat. Kasey looked over and realization flooded through her mind. She looked down at her knuckles remembering how she punched Josh. Taking a glance up at Kathrine sent her running to hide behind the kitchen island. The mystery girl. Is. ON. MY. BED. Kasey quietly congratulated herself as she rolled around on her floor.
"Whatcha' doing down there?" Kasey jumped as Kat stared down at her with a purring Oakley in her arms.
"U-Uh I fell...?" Kasey stuttered slightly.
"Oh, well not to be rude but do you have any food in here?" Kathrine shoved her face into Oakley's stomach fluff.
"Uhm, aren't you a bit hesitant...? You are in a stranger's house and all," Kasey scratched her head awkwardly.
"Not really, you did save me from Josh though. I should've listened to my parents when I was moving out with him..." Kat was distant for a moment before snapping back to reality. "So yeah, you seem like a trust worthy person."
Kasey was a bit worried now that Kathrine had mentioned her parents. Kasey's parents lived across the country in a small home in California. She missed them a lot but she did enjoy her own living space.
"O-Ok then. I'm pretty sure I have some pizza in the freezer and some pop in the fridge."
"Ooo, we should watch a movie! What kind of stuff are you into?" Kat said as she shuffled over to the fridge.
"Oh! I like horror movies and the occasional anime every once in a while," Kasey replied in a flustered panic.
"Nice! I like Harry Potter. Which movie is your favorite?"
"I, uhm, haven't seen them."
"WHAT! WE'RE WATCHING IT!! You have Netflix right?" Kat was already done with her pop and was reaching for a second.
"Yeah, who doesn't," Kasey replied. In the back of her head she kept thinking of the cliche line of "Netflix and Chill". No, no, no, that's definitely not an option... yet.
