Chapter 15

The door leading to Bucky's room slammed shut, followed by the front door. The record player gargled as it reached the end of the disc.

Bang

Bucky's metal fist punched a whole into the wall, as his body trembled with anger, it bubbling through his body like a volcano ready to erupt its substance everywhere. All his pain and fear converted into red hot anger, his fists involuntarily squeezing into fists ready to punch anything that came in his way.

Smash

The mug, which was once filled with Steve's hot coffee, bounced off the wall into a thousand pieces leaving fragments of expensive china scattered across the cream carpet. He needed to rid himself of all the emotions threatening to spill out.

He grabbed his phone as he headed down to the basement where their home gym was. He turned on his music, deep heavy rock music juxtaposing to the sweet soft melodies of jazz which once filled his ears.

The punch bag spilled its substance over the cold concrete, bead fell across the floor and rolled everywhere, finally having enough of the heavy beating which Bucky's hands offered it. His unprotected fists bleed out from the constant contact between knuckles and punch bag. Pain seared through his body as blood dripped from his hands onto the floor adding to the mess.

He collapsed to the floor, exhaustion and pain taking over his body as the tears finally spilled from his tear ducts. He sobbed into his hands and let everything flow over him. Eventually the final tear fell and Bucky heaved his body back upright and trudged up the stairs. As soon as his body collided with the soft blanket his eyes closed shut, blocking out all the pain and emotions of the day.
