Fitz's POV

The next morning, I got a call for a coke deal. I was still exhausted from yesterday. That little girl can be a handful. We fought almost the whole night about petty things. She even jumped on me a couple times. We literally fought until she wore herself out.

How did her parents put up with her? I still don't believe that not even one person noticed her disappearance but that's not important right now.

I can't leave her in this apartment or she'll run off and snitch. I could just get Trace to watch her but there is no doubt in my mind that he'll just try to fuck her.

In my place? I don't think so.

So the last option is to bring her. Ugh.

I climb out of the warm bed that now smelt of her perfume into the living room since she slept on the couch last night.

Her body sprawled out over the cushions and mouth slightly open, her eyebrows scrunched.

What was she dreaming about?

I sit on the coffee table in front of her and slightly slap her cheek until her eyes pop open.

"Wha- Fitz?" She slurs, her cheeks start to glow as she looks away from me.

"Yeah time to get up."

"But I'm out of school?" She scratches her head and sits up.

"I know but we have an errand to run."

"Why do I have to go?" She whines.

"You can't be trusted alone."

"I- I'll be good, I'll be a good girl... today." She looks down at her lap.

"Maybe next time." I pat her head and walk to the kitchen.

"Ugh."

"Now go clean up and change into something black."

"Um alright." She walks away and I hear the shower start moments later.

I fix myself an egg and make her a pancake.

She walks back out with a black shirt and shorts with fishnets showing underneath.

She looked good, but her face held shyness.

"Okay put this around you, it's like a gun holders." I instruct.

"Am I getting a gun!"

"I'm not giving you bullets so calm down."

"Oh." She frowns and sits at the table.

"Eat up."

"All you're eating is an egg?"

"Yeah I'm not that hungry." I shrug.

///

Later in the day she comes in the living room where I'm watching TV.

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"No."

"Can you braid?" She asks me anyway.

"Little bit, I had a little sister."

"Had?"

"It's none of your fucking business!" I snapped.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to be nosey, can you braid my ponytail?"

"Can't you braid?"

"I keep messing it up today." She shrugs.

"No."

"Please."

"I can't believe this is what my life is coming to. Get over here before I change my mind."

She slowly walks over to me and stands in between my legs.

"Get on your knees."

She looks at me weirdly before complying.

I grab the curly hair between my fingers and braid it.

"Ow don't pull so hard."

"Shut up before I cut it all off." I grumble.

"Give me a tie." She grabs a band from around her wrist and hands it to me.

"I'm done."

She stands to her feet and looks in the mirror at herself, fondling the braid in awe.

"Thank you." She nods.

"Whatever, put these on." I say handing her sunglasses.

She looked amazing now. If she didn't annoy me so quickly I would have noticed how attractive she is earlier.

"I look good as fuck." She smiles.

"You look like a black tomb raider." I chuckle.

"I look bad ass." She giggles.

"Then act like one, 'cause where we're going, no one can know you're actually just a kid off the street, act like you know about gangs if they ask you questions. Understand?"

"I'm not a kid and is this like a damn drug deal?"

"Yes and you are, the younger you act the less they'll look your way."

"Oh, well how old are you?" She crosses her arms.

"I'm twenty three."

"Okay." She nods.

"Oh an one more thing, don't tell them your real name."

"What should my name be?"

"I personally like little brat but I suppose Lilly will do." I smirk.

"Very funny." She rolls her eyes.

"Alright let me grab the coke and we'll be on our way."
