Chapter 4: Leaving

Cake and I have been friends with Marshall for a year now, we fought in adventures, I killed monsters with my sword while Marshall either kills them with his vampire bat powers or cutting them with his axe guitar. He's actually not that bad from when I first met him when he was trying to steal our house, claiming that it was his from years past. He says he's evil and Sure , he can be a pain in the butt with his pranks but he doesn't seem evil ,he's a pretty cool dude

cake and I visited the candy kingdom, I wanted to finally introduce Gumball to our new friend.

"Hey fi, where we going?" Marshall asked holding his umbrella protection him from the sun

"I wanted you to meet a friend of mine" I said riding on cakes fluffy back

"Whatever fi" he winked, making my cheeks feel red...dang, he's such a flirt.

we arrived at the candy kingdom, passed the guards and entered Gumballs castle

"Fionna,what brings you here?" gumball asked smiling as cake and I entered his kitchen, his smile always made me nervous mainly because I had a crush on him since I first met him. He's 6 years older then me, making him 20 years old and me 14.

"I wanted you to meet someone" I said watching Pg take out muffins out of the oven

"Sure, I can't wait to meet this person" he smiled, seconds later Marshall flew into the kitchen next to me smiling at Pg with a unreadable grin

"Y-you!" gumball shouted

"Sup Bonnie! Haven't seen you in a while" Marshall winked

"G-get out of my candy kingdom!" Pg yelled making me slightly confused about what was happening. Did they already know each other? Gumball didn't seem to like him at all, while Marshall just smiled at him and laughed

"Whatever dude, I'm not"Marshall said giving a sign of the horns and left

"fionna! how do you know that rotting vampire??" Gumball asked sounding angry

"I-i just wanted to introduce you two...i didn't think anything bad would happen" I said feeling bad.gumball sighed and turned around

"It's ok fionna, I'm not mad at you. it's not your fault, I just really hate that vampire king.." gumball calmed down

"Why do you hate Marshall? He's a great guy" I asked. Pg didn't say anything for awhile and went back to his muffins

"I-I don't want to talk about it..please, lets just forget about it" he smiled. I didn't say anything after that. I grabbed a new mission from PGs files and went my way with cake

"You okay sugar?" Cake asked in concerned

"Yeah cake, I'm just bummed that two of my guy friends don't get alone.."

"Fionna.." I looked up to see a sleepy, zombie looking Marshall flying towards me holding his umbrella

"Marshall? you okay? you look...depressed" cake stated

"I-It's nothing.." He frowned "say cake, is it ok if me and fionna can go on an adventure?" He smiled skittle . cakes tail fizzed up a little but later settled down "I guess if fionna is fine with it, just have her back before dinner!" she said growing big. "alright kitty, we'll be back" he chuckled .I guess I didn't mind going on a adventure with just us. I took his hand and we lifted up into the air. watching cake getting smaller and smaller the higher we went

"So Marshall, where we going?" I asked

"My place, I wanna give you something" he said looking down.. whoa..?

We arrived at Marshall's place, he went inside and I followed. he grabbed his guitar and took something off of it.

"Here..." Marshall said handing me a pretty ribbon.. that really looked familiar.. wait, it was the ribbon I lost in the forest when I was 9! the ribbon my mother have me before she died..

"Where you get this??" I asked grabbing the ribbon and looking at its silky lavender color

"Y-you...its not important..I just wanted to give this back to you in person before I leave.." Marshall said looking sad..

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the nighto'sphere.."

"What?! why!? you said you hated that place! that it'll be the last place you'll go to!" I panicked not wanting him to leave

"Fionna..." he started. he leaned closer to my face, giving me a kiss with his cold lips, I froze. His kiss was soft..

"I can't tell you... but I just wanted to be with you alone before I go.."

"Your not going anywhere!" I cried as tears were falling on my cheeks.I felt hurt about him leaving

"I love you fionna.." he smiled. he opened a portal and left waving goodbye. I stood there shocked. my best friend was leaving me, and right after he told me that he loves me!? the portal closed and only sat there crying..what was wrong with me..why is this even happening so randomly? what am i going to do!?
