Chapter 6: Starving

Cake was carrying me towards the candy kingdom

"Hurry cake!" I said

"I can only go so fast baby" she replied. we needed to save Marshall, I knew he was a big boy but...i couldn't help but worry.. as if the kiss he gave me triggered something inside of me, I didn't know what it was.. but I just..i don't know..my heart hurt from not seeing him

"We're here!" caked said snapping me out of my thoughts. I got off of her and ran towards the castles kitchen. where gumball usually does his free doing. I burst through the door, making gumball drop dozens of freshly baked cupcakes

"Fionna!? what the glob!" he said freaking out

"Gumball! we have to go to the nighto'sphere! Marshall's in trouble" I cried

"Fionna..i think Marshall can take care of him-"

"You don't understand!! please we need a portal!" I cried harder.gumball looked at me with concerned eyes

"Okay fionna, come this way.." he sighed giving up .cake and I followed gumball to a pitch dark basement. we couldn't see but still walked foward. we stopped seeing a part of the darkness glowing

"This is the secret portal I've been hiding for as long as I lived" I could see part of gumball looking at me."once you get in, there's no way out, so make sure you get Marshall to come back" he said. I remembered Marshall opening a portal by himself, so he's my only way back home."good luck" gumball frowned. I walked up to him and gave him a hug.

"Thank you" I told him. he hugged back and let me and cake through the portal..there was red rocks and lava everywhere! The air was almost burning my skin. like the suns rays shining hot on my bare face. but I could take it.

"Where do we start fi?" Caked asked looking around. I looked forward to see a line of demons, we rushed towards them

"Hey, you guys know where I can find the vampire king?" the demon looked puzzled

"You gotta wait like everyone else!"he yelled pointing at the spots he's in...guessing it's the end of the line. so we gotta wait then..

The line moved super slow...it took a week just for us to reach the middle, cake was loosing it, I slapped her to snap out of it. finally week 3 had pass and we reached the door. we were told to enter. There was a big room surrounded us

"What do you want fionna the human?" a woman with a bun, wearing a black pants suit ,sitting on a big chair asked

"How you know my name?" I asked

"I know It because my son became very fond of you over the years. I had my eye close on you sweetheart"

"Your son..?" cake asked

"My son Marshall lee" she smirked, making me shock about the news.and what did she mean by years? i only knew him for 1 year "now what is it you want?"

"I-I came to take Marshall home!" I stuttered. she laughed in my face

"He's not going anywhere! he's getting married in 1 week!" she said . my heart dropped feeling like it fell down my stomach. making my voice fade away

"E-excuse me..?" I whispered

Marshall's mom laughed and grew into a huge demon. cake grew bigger then her hiding me behind behind her furry back.

"Nows your chance baby" cake whisperer telling me to go look for Marshall. nodded and ran to another room while cake fought the big demon. I ran and ran but saw nothing but walls and windows..glob where is he..?I tripped and fell remembering that I spend days without eating, I was weak and felt like dying. My stomach tied in knots, my muscles were tightening, making the pain unbearable. I quickly blacked out in the middle of the floor

Marshall

Why did I have to marry the lich's lich..?why was it my duty to do this..? why me..? Why..? I stood in my room observing my formal black suit and tie that I had to wear for the royal dinner tonight in the mirror. glob, i grew tired of being in this cramped room and decided to pay a visit to the fire garden outside. it's pretty much a garden but instead of flowers, there were balls of fire flying in the air. it was pretty cool. I flew through the hallway to find someone was passed out on the floor. wearing a white hat and a blue shirt..wait..

"Fionna!?" I yelled out loud. I ran to her side. her face was pale and skinny..i couldn't tell what was wrong with her, why was she even here? how she get here? i took a second to notice that her stomach started growling.she must have been standing in that line mother takes forever to finish. i picked her up and brought her to my room. 

Fionna

i tasted something in my mouth, it was sweet and pretty good, it tasted like apple..no wait, apple sauce. who was giving me apple sauce? i opened my eyes and saw Marshall giving me a spoon full of apple sauce smiling at me when he saw me look up.

"hey sleepy head, how was you nap" he smiled

"uh..uh.. fine" i stuttered blushing, remembering the time he kissed me. he chuckled

"i found you in the middle of the floor starving, so i mashed some apples and gave this to you so you wont choke" he explained

"oh thank you.." i said finishing the apple sauce quickly

"so what are you doing here?" he asked. 

"i had to save you Marshall, i felt something was wrong" i said trying to avoid crying. he sighed

"fionna..-"

"you cant be here Marshall! i know you hate this place! and you wouldn't come here without a reason! i know something is wro-"

"fionna.." he interrupted " i don't wanna be here, but i have to be here. my mother and i made a deal.."

"what kind of deal..?" i asked. hearing the doors slam open. i suddenly got tied up by Marshall's mom

"mom!" Marshall yelled. i couldn't breath, she was tying me to tight. "mom stop! you're hurting her!"

"i had it with this girl!" she yelled before yanking me out of the room and quickly flew to lock me in a jail."now stay there and stay away from Marshall!" she told me before leaving me. cake was knocked out in the same cell next to me

"cake!" i called, she slowly opened her eyes

"I'm sorry fi...but she was too powerful.."she almost cried

"no cake.. its okay, you did your best" i told her hugging her

"so what now..?" she asked sitting up. i ran up to the lock and pulled out a bobbie pin out of my hair

"we are going to stop a wedding from happening! but first we gotta find Marshall!" i smiled

"lets do it baby!" cake yelled
