Love.

What a complicated word. What a complicated feeling.

Or is it really just a feeling?

How can the same feeling be responsible for all the misery, yet all the ecstasy.

How can the same feeling build you so high to make you fall back again to your own destruction.

Love.

Is it positive? Is it negative? Is it the medicine or more likely an illness?

And if it's an illness, can we find the common symptoms stated somewhere?

Just to make sure that we're in love?

I mean can we get a chart and start ticking the items that we're supposed to be experiencing while in love?

But, to be honest, how can you make sure that you feel something that you ignore almost everything about?

Like, is there even a real meaning for this word? A meaning that all persons agree to? A definition that engulfs all the situations, the aspects, the reactions, the emotions, the promises, the brokenness, that Love is responsible for?

I highly doubt.

So for real, what is Love?

"You lied to me." She lifted herself, moving away from his embrace. "You hurt me. You broke me." She stood up, feeling the aching in her chest dig a bigger hole.

"Laura, you have to understand. I couldn't have told you. I, myself was running away from it until few days ago. Please."

He repeated the same argument again and again. What else could he say?

"Just, just for the records; if it wasn't for Neymar, would you have told me about this?" She rubbed her forehead while speaking.

"Neymar? Seriously?"

"Answer me." She clenched her teeth, her anger getting the best of her.

"I don't know. A lot would have changed if you weren't his now."

His.

"That's right. His. Which reminds me, i'm in the wrong place."

They were similar; the both of them. They both got impulsive every time they were hurt. They use the same defense mechanism, pushing the ones they love away when they feel threatened. And in this situation right here, they both felt vulnerable.

"Are you losing your mind right now? YOU asked me to stay!"

He always acted tough, while all he wanted was to beg her to forgive him.

"Yeah well, i guess it was another mistake. Doesn't change anything though, since everything started with mistakes."

She couldn't forgive him yet. The events of the past months were all running circles in her head.

"Oh for god's sake Laura! How many times should i apologize for you to forgive me?"

"From what it looks like, you haven't even started yet."

She turned around, making her way out of the room, when he suddenly grabbed her by the arm and span her around so she could end up in his arms facing him.

"Look at me and tell me that you really are his." He lowered his eyes to her lips that were inches away from his. "Tell me that he's the one you want, and i'll let you go. Tell me that this, right here, isn't what you've always wanted."
