Chapter three (Part Two)

Part two:
Laura's POV

He was completely ignoring me. All i needed was his comfort, even if by only a smile or a look, while all he wanted to do was simply ignore me. He wasn't even looking at me. Every time i was around him, he acted like i wasn't there. What on earth is he trying to pull off? First he kisses me. Then he holds my hand. Then he caresses my face. And all that without saying a word. Without explaining his acts. And what's worse is that he didn't even answer my question yesterday. But now it's like the fun is over, and i don't exist anymore. Maybe he was just caught up in the moment, and now he woke up.

"I'm leaving. I'll come back in few hours. Take care of the kids please, and if you need anything call me." Antonella said, closing the door behind her.

Where is she going? I swear they're all crazy. Maybe that's why he was acting all weird. Maybe it wasn't about me.

How can she leave him alone a day after his injury? What if he needed something? Who's going to help him?

"You." Oh shut up, he clearly doesn't want me anywhere near him. I shook my head trying to block the voice.

What could be more important than him?

"Laaaura can we watch a movie? Please?" Thiago called me, running from the living room towards me.

"Sure sweetie, you just pick one."

"Will you watch with us?!" His eyes widened, a big smile drawn on his face.

"Us?"

"Yes papi promised to watch it with me."

Oh great. Just what i needed.

"You have your papi then, what do you need me for, dear?" Please Thiago, for once, help me here.

"But but, i want you to watch with us." Oh no. His lower lip started quivering, and he gave me his heart melting puppy face that he uses to get what he wants.

"Thiago.. i know what you're doing." I said, pinching his cheeks together.

"PRETTY PRETTY PLEAAAASE!" He pouted.

I couldn't resist anymore. He dragged me behind him to the living room, laughing and cheering. Ahh this boy.

From that moment on, nothing happened. Like i was absolutely no one. He was still ignoring me, and he kept on doing it the whole movie. Did i suddenly become invisible? I don't understand.

Thiago fell asleep on the couch by the end of the movie. I fixed his pillow and covered him with a blanket. Leo stood up walking towards the stairs. He was having trouble making his way up, which made me figure that the pain is back. I rushed up to support him but before i could touch him, he stopped me.

"Don't." He said firmly before i could touch him. My hand froze in its place, my face all shocked at his reaction.

"What?"

"Just don't."

And without another word, he made his way up, leaving me perplexed and frustrated on the stairs.

What the hell is wrong? Why is he mad at me? I'm the one who's supposed to be freaking out of my head now!

I followed him upstairs, the only idea in mind is to get an explanation. The door was left open. It's like he expected me to come.

"Can we talk?" I said, stepping inside.

"No."

"Are you serious now?"

He didn't say anything. I swear he just wants to drive me crazy.

"Stop ignoring me! I'm losing my mind."
