The light shines through gaps between boards nailed over windows. The city is already up and the noise begins. People are talking, birds are singing and occasionally a horse neighting is heard. You wake up a bit disoriented. You're in a strange bed, in an unknown room. Slowly memories of yesterday find your brain and horror fills you up. My luggage! You scream in your mind. There's no way it would still be there – not that it would contain anything valuable, only a few pieces of clothes and books, well okay, you're gonna miss the books. Still, you'll have to buy new clothes and you're kinda broke so that's a problem. Maybe the kind stranger that saved you last night would help again? You stretch and decide that it's the right time to thank him for everything.

You go down the stairs and hear a quiet humming coming from the main room. You don't even look around and immediately your eyes meet with silver bangs of your savior. "Uhm, good morning." You say a bit awkwardly and scratch the back of your head. "Good morning, missy." He smiles and offers you one of his bone-shaped cookies. This time you take one. They're delicious, soft and sweet. And warm? "Did you make these?" You asked, surprised as you chew on another one already. "Of course, my dear." He grins, obviously happy that you like them. "Now tell me missy, how are you not freaking out?" You cock your head a bit to right, confused. He motion towards the room and you turn around. The room is still dimly lit only by few candles randomly placed on the walls and chandelier hanging from the ceiling. What he meant though are probably the coffins. They are everywhere. And near the walls are shelves full of bones, jars with different organs and even a human fetus! Your eyes shine with excitement. How lucky you are to be saved by fellow human body enthusiast! You are slightly jumping and then can't hold yourself anymore and start examining all the things, touching coffins and bones. You hear the man behind you laughing the whole time. This place is what I've been looking for! You think and squeak. Finally, after a month or so of hoping to get a job at fucking bakery or another primitive job, this is your chance to do something you could actually enjoy.

Determined, you walk up to the desk on which lays the man and slam your palms down. "Hire me." You say boldly and look the man straight into his eyes. Or bangs really. He mimics your actions, slamming his own palms down on the table. "Fine." You have a staring contest with his bangs, both of you are looking so serious it hurts. You can't take it anymore and quickly cover your mouth with hand before bursting out laughing. Both of you are laughing for minutes until you eventually calm down. He's the one to talk first. "What's the name of my first employee by the way?" His mouth forms a wide grin on his face. "What's the name of my employer?" You raise one eyebrow at him. "Hey hey hey, I was the one who asked first." His grin widens and he rests his head on one hand. "However, you almost gave a heart-attack yesterday so it's only fair for you to introduce yourself first." You fight back, grinning now yourself. "You can call me Undertaker, that's all you gonna get from me." You scoff and murmur. "You can call me Human then." He starts laughing again, his silver hair shaking from side to side. "Nice to meet you, Hooman~," he looks at you innocently. "Now then, would you like to be my apprentice or a cute little maid?" He's wiggling from side to side, eager for your answer. You look around and notice that everything is covered with dust and spider webs. A sigh escapes your lips. "I guess I can be both." You shrug which causes him to laugh some more. "Now that's what I wanted to hear." He looks so satisfied with your answers you almost want to punch him in the face. Then you remember about your problem and panic a bit. "Oh my, I'm so sorry, but could I leave for a few minutes? When I was running yesterday, I forgot my luggage at the pub and well, all my things were there." You look at him pleading and notice that his face turned serious for a while before it breaks into grin again. "Sure, but here, take this." He says as he hands you a small jar with a human heart inside. "If someone attacks you again, just throw this at him." You facepalm and say goodbye. "But what about your weapon?!" He shouts before you close the door.

Outside you breathe in the fresh spring air and sigh. It's not gonna be easy to work with that man but at least the job looks interesting and have someone positive around is always good. You'll also have to ask him if it's not a problem for you to stay there. You groaned. You hated to be dependent on someone like this, even more when it was a complete stranger. But he seemed really nice and saved you. He could try to harm you or do... things, but none of that happened. You sighed, everything is too complicated for you to understand. Eventually you found the pub and immediately felt uneasy, worried that the man from yesterday could be here. You walked to it and found that your luggage was there, only empty. You banged your head against a wall few times, then took your only possession and walked back to Undertaker. What a terrible name does he have that he's so ashamed of it by the way?

You stepped inside the shop again and saw it was empty. "I'm back." You yelled but there was no response. You decided to sit down until he returns since you had to talk to him about you having no place to live. Looking around again you decided that if you clean it up here a bit, it could be a good place to work and live at. You were interrupted from your thoughts by a pair of cold hands that unexpectedly landed on your shoulders. You jumped and yelped in fear but the sound couldn't be heard over Undertaker's laughing. "That's not funny, you know." You crossed your arms on your chest and pouted. "My my, look at how cute you are my precious~! I'll have to do this more often~." He purred with smile. "Guess I'll find living elsewhere." You muttered more to yourself but he heard it clearly. "Oh come on, love. I didn't mean to upset you~, you can stay here if you want, I'll even surrender my room to you!" He leaned closer to you and caressed your cheek with one of his long fingernails. "Th-that's really not necessary, thank you. I'll just get some blanket and sleep on the floor, it's not a-," you were shushed by him pressing one of his fingers against your lips. If you weren't blushing before, now you were definitely looking like a tomato. "I don't mind." He whispered, his face just inches from yours. "Besides, I already have a custom made coffin for myself that's really comfortable." He said excitedly and led you by the head to show you what probably was his masterpiece. Yep, it's gonna be hard to live with him, but you definitely look forward to it.
