Everything had happened so fast. And now you were falling down to a certain death. The memories of the last minutes were all over the place in your head as you tried to grasp what exactly was going on. You'd ask Adrian if it wasn't for the fact that his body was limp against yours as you clinged to his unconscious form. You were trying hard not to panic but your brain could only handle so much. How the fuck did you end up in this situation?

When you tried to remember, you clearly saw Sebastian chasing after you, exchanging shots of silverware and sotobas with Undertaker every so often. He never fell behind, never gave you a chance to escape him until he chased you to a dead end. There... what happened there? Undertaker pleaded with you to close your eyes, so you did. And the all you could hear was a sound of clashing metal, you were moved around a lot too, you so supposed that the two man have fought. After that though? Only a light and then there was even more brightness and a warm sensation all over your body and now the fall, of course.

This really isn't looking good, you thought as the ground got dangerously close. Not looking good at all!!! Red alerts blared in your mind as the solid surface was now only ten or so meters under you. You closed your eyes and prayed for your lives to any deity willing to listen. And just as you were expecting a collision, it didn't happen.

You stayed very still for a while, not even breathing and you would swear your heart stopped for a bit too. Then suddenly you gently landed on the softest grass you ever felt. And not only because it was one you didn't crash against in full speed falling from the skies. You unwrapped one of your hands from around still unconscious Adrian and felt around blindly. It seemed normal. Now you were seriously considering that you did in fact hit the ground and now you were simply in heaven or whatever it was on the other side. You dared to open your eyes and look around.

First thing you noticed was that everything was incredibly bright here. Sky was basically white and the sun seemed like a giant ball of pure light. The grass was much greener than in London and longer too. Where the hell were you? You looked at Undertaker warily. He still didn't wake up. You were getting worried now, especially since you were basically stranded who knows where with the threat of Sebastian still fresh in your mind.

But before your mind could get into a full-blown panic attack, a hand reached up to lay between your shoulder blades. Your head snapped back to see those pretty, gorgeous lime eyes of your boss turned boyfriend. Tears flooded into your eyes as you fell back to hug him tightly. The deep rumble of his chuckle vibrated in his chest. "Oh my, it took more effort than I expected," he mused breathlessly. "Don't. Ever. Scare. Me. Like. That. Again," you emphasized each word with a light punch to his shoulder. "I'm sorry," he laughed quietly and finally wrapped his arms around your shaking form. "I'm so sorry, darling~," he repeated weakly as he sighed. You allowed yourself a few minutes of peace, focused solely on the warmth that radiated from his body and finding reassurance in it. He seemed to feel the same way.

Unfortunately though, your mind was still racing, unable to grasp what happened. With a sigh you sat back up but left your hands on his chest and looked at him. He looked exhausted, as if it took him tremendous effort to keep awake. "Where are we, Adrian?" you asked softly as you cupped his cheek, half a reason was to give yourself some comfort but you also hoped it would help him focus before, presumably, passing out. "In the realm of Shinigami," he said quietly, closing his eyes and clearing his throat before waving a hand. Suddenly there was a little house just a few steps behind you. "I always wanted a little privacy from others so I hid it with a spell, we'll be safe here," he smiled shakily as he moved his hand to hold yours. "I'm sorry, the travel here took too much of my energy," he explained, his voice getting harder to hear with every word before he finally fell asleep.

You smiled fondly and absently stroked his cheek as you pondered over his words. You had even more questions now but they'll have to wait until he wakes up. He did say you were safe and you trusted him. You admired his features as he slept. He looked so calm and innocent; you wished he would feel like that more often. Maybe that would happen here? Probably not with the threat of Sebastian still weighting down on both of you, you realized but pushed the thought aside for a while. He would explain it to you once he is awake.

For now, you had one big task before you – to move him to bed, or inside of the house at the very least. You were quite sceptical about your ability to do it but you had to try. He carried you to bed too! You gave yourself a little pep-talk and stretched. You got this! Gently lifting his arm and putting it around your shoulders, you thought that maybe it won't be such a problem after all. That was until you tried to lift him up. Failing miserably, you considered what other options you had. You could try dragging him in, that would probably work, but that seemed too inappropriate to you; besides his hair would get all tangled up. You sighed and looked around desperately. You really didn't want to leave him out alone but searching inside for anything that could be of help was the only other idea you thought of.

Anxiously glancing around one more time, you braced yourself and opened the door to the house. It was very cozy, with a little fireplace and wooden furniture. The place smelled like herbs; no wonder, you thought as you looked at some dried bouquet of plants unknown to you that hanged above the windows. You walked through the kitchen to the back room and bingo! You found a bedroom. There was a bed that took most of the space and little wardrobe and little chest at the foot of it. You risked a look inside the chest and found pillows and blankets. That would have to do, you shrugged. There was no way you were dragging your beloved on the floor like some rug.

You brought out some pillows and blanket, gently lifting Adrian's head up and putting one of them under it while keeping the other one for yourself. You weren't necessarily tired, but you refused you wander around alone and abandon him here. You covered both of you with the blanket and laid your head on the pillow. You admired his face, feeling quite creepy for doing so while he was asleep, but it was the only thing that calmed you down in your current situation. You felt so moved – he could just run away on his own without having to fight the butler but he returned for you instead. You smiled warmly and shifted closer to your savior. He wouldn't mind, you told yourself as you laid your head on his chest to listen to his heartbeat.
